Job

17

1“My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct, And the grave is ready for me.
1Ka lungsim hihgawpin a oma, ka nite a bei, kei dingin han mansain a om hi.
2Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.
2Ka kiangah musitmite a om taktak ua, a hehna uah ka mit a omgige hi.
3“Now give a pledge, be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will strike hands with me?
3Tuin thuchiam honpia in, nangmahmah toh kei adingin mohkhu honghi in; kei toh khutte beng ding kua a oma?
4For you have hidden their heart from understanding, Therefore you shall not exalt them.
4Theihsiamna akipan a lungtang uh na sel ngala: huai jiakin amau na hihlian kei ding hi.
5He who denounces his friends for a prey, Even the eyes of his children shall fail.
5Kuapeuh matdinga a lawmte heka, a neihlehlam tan tummi, a tate nangawn nit a juausuak ding hi.
6“But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.
6Mite houlimna dingin a honbawl laia; huan tangpi kih ka honghita hi.
7My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow. All my members are as a shadow.
7Lungkhamna jiakin ka mit leng a miala, huan ka hiangte tengteng limliap bang ahi.
8Upright men shall be astonished at this. The innocent shall stir up himself against the godless.
8Mi dikten hiaiah lamdang a sa ding ua, huan mihoih pathianlimsakloute dou dingin a kitokthou ding.
9Yet shall the righteous hold on his way. He who has clean hands shall grow stronger and stronger.
9Himahleh mi diktat a lampi ah a pang zouzou dia, huan kuapeuh khut siangneite a hat semsem ding uhi.
10But as for you all, come on now again; I shall not find a wise man among you.
10Himahleh hongkik un, na vek un, huan tuin hong un: huchiin na lak uah mi pil ka mu kei ding.
11My days are past, my plans are broken off, as are the thoughts of my heart.
11Ka nite a beita, ka thiltupte a se gawpta hi, ka lungtang ngaihtuahte nasanin.
12They change the night into day, saying ‘The light is near’ in the presence of darkness.
12Jan sunin a kheng ua: khovakin khomial a naih, a chi uh.
13If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,
13Seol ka in bangin en leng; khomial ah ka tutnanem phahta leng;
14If I have said to corruption, ‘You are my father;’ to the worm, ‘My mother,’ and ‘my sister;’
14Siatna kiangah, Ka pa na hi, chi leng; tangtel kiangah, ka nu leh ka sanggamnu na hi, chi leng;
15where then is my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?
15Huchi hileh ka lametna koia om ahia? Huan lamet nei hileng kuan honmusak dia?Seol mundai ah te paisukin leivui ah ka kik khawm ding ua adiam?
16Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol , or descend together into the dust?”
16Seol mundai ah te paisukin leivui ah ka kik khawm ding ua adiam?
