¹Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

¹ از من پیروی كنید همان‌طور كه من از مسیح پیروی می‌کنم.

²Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

² اكنون باید شما را تحسین كنم؛ زیرا همیشه به‌یاد من هستید و از آن تعالیمی كه به شما سپردم، پیروی می‌کنید.

³But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.

³ امّا می‌خواهم بدانید كه سر هر مرد مسیح است و سر هر زن شوهر اوست و سر مسیح خداست.

⁴Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

⁴ پس مردی كه با سر پوشیده دعا كند یا پیامی از طرف خدا بیاورد، سر خود یعنی مسیح را رسوا می‌سازد.

⁵But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonors her head. For it is one and the same thing as if she were shaved.

⁵ همچنین زنی كه با سر برهنه دعا كند یا پیامی از خدا بیاورد، سر خود یعنی شوهرش را رسوا ساخته و با زنی كه سرش تراشیده شده، هیچ فرقی ندارد.

⁶For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.

⁶ اگر پوشانیدن یا نپوشانیدن سر برای زنی مهم نیست، پس سر خود را هم بتراشد و اگر تراشیدن موی سر برای زن رسوایی به بار می‌آورد، بهتر است كه سر او هم پوشیده باشد.

⁷For a man indeed ought not to have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

⁷ لازم نیست كه مرد سر خود را بپوشاند، زیرا او صورت و جلال خدا را منعكس می‌سازد. امّا زن، جلال مرد را منعكس می‌سازد؛

⁸For man is not from woman, but woman from man;

⁸ زیرا مرد از زن آفریده نشد، بلكه زن از مرد به وجود آمد

⁹for neither was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.

⁹ و مرد نیز به‌خاطر زن آفریده نشد، بلكه زن برای مرد خلق شد.

¹⁰For this cause the woman ought to have authority on her head, because of the angels.

¹⁰ به این جهت و همچنین به‌خاطر فرشتگان، زن باید سر خود را بپوشاند تا نشان دهد كه تحت فرمان است.

¹¹Nevertheless, neither is the woman independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman, in the Lord.

¹¹ به هر حال در اتّحاد ما با خداوند، زن از مرد یا مرد از زن بی‌نیاز نیست.

¹²For as woman came from man, so a man also comes through a woman; but all things are from God.

¹² زیرا چنانکه زن از مرد به وجود آمد، مرد از زن متولّد می‌شود. نه تنها هردوی آنها بلكه همه‌چیز متعلّق به خداست.

¹³Judge for yourselves. Is it appropriate that a woman pray to God unveiled?

¹³ خودتان قضاوت كنید آیا شایسته است زن با سر برهنه در پیشگاه خدا دعا كند؟

¹⁴Doesn’t even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

¹⁴ مگر خود طبیعت به شما نمی‌آموزد كه گیسوی بلند برای مرد شرم‌آور است،

¹⁵But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.

¹⁵ امّا برعکس، گیسوی بلند زن، مایهٔ افتخار اوست و برای این به او داده شده است تا با آن سر خود را بپوشاند.

¹⁶But if any man seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither do God’s assemblies.

¹⁶ اگر كسی بخواهد در این خصوص مجادله كند، تنها چیزی كه به او می‌گویم این است كه ما و كلیساهای خدا روش دیگری غیراز این نداریم.

¹⁷But in giving you this command, I don’t praise you, that you come together not for the better but for the worse.

¹⁷ ولی در موارد زیر، شما را تحسین نمی‌کنم؛ زیرا وقتی دور هم جمع می‌شوید نتیجهٔ آن نه تنها به سود شما نیست، بلكه به زیان شماست.

¹⁸For first of all, when you come together in the assembly, I hear that divisions exist among you, and I partly believe it.

¹⁸ اولاً می‌شنوم هنگامی‌كه به صورت كلیسا دور هم جمع می‌شوید به دسته‌های مختلف تقسیم می‌گردید و این را تا اندازه‌ای باور می‌کنم؛

¹⁹For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.

¹⁹ زیرا شكی نیست كه باید در میان شما دسته‌هایی به وجود آید تا اشخاص صمیمی شناخته شوند.

²⁰When therefore you assemble yourselves together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.

²⁰ وقتی دور هم جمع می‌شوید، برای خوردن شام خداوند نیست.

²¹For in your eating each one takes his own supper first. One is hungry, and another is drunken.

²¹ زیرا در هنگام خوردن هر كسی با عجله شام خود را می‌خورد و در نتیجه عدّه‌ای گرسنه می‌مانند در حالی‌كه دیگران مست می‌شوند.

²²What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly, and put them to shame who don’t have? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

²² عجب! مگر خانه‌ای ندارید كه در آن بخورید و بنوشید؟ آیا به این وسیله می‌خواهید كلیسای خدا را تحقیر نمایید و اعضای نیازمند را خجل سازید؟ به شما چه بگویم، آیا می‌توانم در این امر شما را تحسین كنم؟ ابداً!

²³For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread.

²³ تعالیمی را كه به شما دادم، از خود خداوند گرفتم و آن این بود كه عیسی خداوند در شبی كه تسلیم دشمنان شد، نان را گرفت

²⁴When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.”

²⁴ و بعد از شكرگزاری آن را پاره كرده گفت: «این است بدن من برای شما. این را به‌یاد من بجا آورید.»

²⁵In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.”

²⁵ همان‌طور پس از شام پیاله را نیز برداشته گفت: «این پیاله همان پیمان تازه‌ای است كه با خون من بسته می‌شود. هرگاه این را می‌نوشید، بیاد من بنوشید.»

²⁶For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

²⁶ زیرا تا وقت آمدن خداوند هرگاه این نان را بخورید و پیاله را بنوشید، مرگ او را اعلام می‌کنید.

²⁷Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in a way unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.

²⁷ بنابراین اگر كسی به طور ناشایست نان را بخورد و پیاله را بنوشد، نسبت به بدن و خون خداوند مرتكب خطا خواهد شد.

²⁸But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

²⁸ بنابراین هرکس باید خود را بیازماید، آن وقت خود از آن نان بخورد و از آن پیاله بنوشد.

²⁹For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy way eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn’t discern the Lord’s body.

²⁹ زیرا کسی‌که معنی و مفهوم بدن مسیح را درک نكند و از آن بخورد و بنوشد با خوردن و نوشیدن آن، خود را محكوم می‌سازد.

³⁰For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

³⁰ به همین سبب است كه بسیاری از شما ضعیف و مریض هستید و عدّه‌ای نیز مرده‌اند.

³¹For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn’t be judged.

³¹ امّا اگر اول خود را می‌آزمودیم محكوم نمی‌‌شدیم.

³²But when we are judged, we are punished by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

³² ولی خداوند ما را داوری و تنبیه می‌کند تا با جهان محكوم نگردیم.

³³Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

³³ پس ای دوستان من، هروقت برای خوردن شام خداوند دور هم جمع می‌شوید، منتظر یكدیگر باشید. و اگر كسی گرسنه است، در منزل خود غذا بخورد. مبادا جمع شدن شما باعث محکومیّت شما شود. در خصوص مطالب دیگر، هروقت به آنجا بیایم آنها را حلّ و فصل خواهم كرد.

³⁴But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest your coming together be for judgment. The rest I will set in order whenever I come.

³⁴ و اگر كسی گرسنه است، در منزل خود غذا بخورد. مبادا جمع شدن شما باعث محکومیّت شما شود. در خصوص مطالب دیگر، هروقت به آنجا بیایم آنها را حلّ و فصل خواهم كرد.
