¹Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour 3:00 PM .

¹ یک روز در ساعت سه بعد از ظهر که وقت نماز بود، پطرس و یوحنا به معبد بزرگ می‌رفتند.

²A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.

² در آنجا مردی مفلوج مادرزاد بود كه هر روز او را در جلوی در معبد بزرگ، كه به «دروازهٔ زیبا» معروف بود، می‌گذاشتند تا از کسانی‌که به درون معبد بزرگ می‌رفتند صدقه بگیرد.

³Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.

³ وقتی پطرس و یوحنا را دید كه به معبد بزرگ می‌روند تقاضای صدقه كرد.

⁴Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁴ امّا پطرس و یوحنا به او خیره شدند و پطرس به او گفت: «به ما نگاه كن.»

⁵He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁵ او به خیال اینكه چیزی از آنان خواهد گرفت، با چشمانی پُرتوقّع به ایشان نگاه كرد.

⁶But Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

⁶ امّا پطرس گفت: «من طلا و نقره ندارم، امّا آنچه دارم به تو می‌دهم. به نام عیسی مسیح ناصری به تو دستور می‌‌دهم، بلند شو و راه برو.»

⁷He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.

⁷ آنگاه پطرس دست راستش را گرفت و او را از زمین بلند كرد. فوراً پاها و قوزک پاهای او قوّت گرفتند.

⁸Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

⁸ او از جا پرید، روی پاهای خود ایستاد و به راه افتاد و جست‌و‌خیزكنان و خدا را حمدگویان به اتّفاق ایشان وارد معبد بزرگ شد.

⁹All the people saw him walking and praising God.

⁹ همهٔ مردم او را روان و حمدگویان دیدند

¹⁰They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

¹⁰ و وقتی پی بردند كه او همان كسی است كه قبلاً در جلوی «دروازهٔ زیبا» می‌نشست و صدقه می‌گرفت از آنچه برای او اتّفاق افتاده بود، غرق تعجّب و حیرت شدند.

¹¹As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

¹¹ در حالی‌كه او به پطرس و یوحنا چسبیده بود و از آنان جدا نمی‌شد، جمیع مردم با حیرت در ایوان سلیمان به طرف آنان دویدند.

¹²When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

¹² وقتی پطرس دید كه مردم می‌آیند گفت: «ای اسرائیلیان چرا از دیدن این امر تعجّب می‌کنید؟ چرا به ما خیره شده‌اید؟ خیال می‌کنید كه ما این شخص را با تقوی و نیروی خود شفا داده‌ایم؟

¹³The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹³ خدای ابراهیم و اسحاق و یعقوب، خدای اجداد ما، بندهٔ خود عیسی را به جلال رسانیده است. آری، شما عیسی را به مرگ تسلیم نمودید و در حضور پیلاطس او را رد كردید، در حالی‌كه پیلاطس تصمیم گرفته بود او را آزاد كند.

¹⁴But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

¹⁴ شما بودید كه آن پاک مرد خدا، یعنی آن مرد عادل را انكار كردید و آزادی یک نفر قاتل را خواستار شدید

¹⁵and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

¹⁵ و به این طریق آن سرچشمهٔ حیات را كشتید، امّا خدا او را پس از مرگ زنده كرد و ما شاهد این واقعه هستیم.

¹⁶By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

¹⁶ قدرت نام عیسی، این شخص را كه می‌بیند و می‌شناسید نیرو بخشیده است. به وسیلهٔ ایمان به نام او این كار انجام شده است. آری، در حضور جمیع شما ایمان به عیسی او را سالم و تندرست كرده است.

¹⁷“Now, brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

¹⁷ «و امّا ای دوستان، می‌دانم كه شما مثل حکمرانان خود این كار را از روی غفلت انجام دادید.

¹⁸But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

¹⁸ ولی خدا به این طریق به آن پیشگویی‌هایی كه مدّتها پیش به وسیلهٔ جمیع انبیا فرموده بود كه مسیح او می‌آید تا رنج و آزار ببیند، تحقّق بخشید.

¹⁹“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

¹⁹ پس توبه كنید و به سوی خدا بازگشت نمایید تا گناهان شما آمرزیده شود.

²⁰and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,

²⁰ و زمان تجدید حیات از پیشگاه خداوند فرا رسد و خدا، عیسی یعنی آن مسیح موعود را كه از پیش برایتان برگزیده بود بفرستد.

²¹whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

²¹ همان‌طور كه خدا به وسیلهٔ انبیای مقدّس خود از مدّتها پیش اعلام نموده، او باید تا زمانی‌كه همه‌چیز تازه و نو شود، در آسمان بماند.

²²For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

²² موسی فرمود: 'خداوند خدای شما، از میان شما نبی‌ای مانند من برای شما برمی‌‌انگیزاند، باید به آنچه او به شما می‌گوید گوش دهید.

²³It will be, that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Deuteronomy 18:15,18-19

²³ و هركس از اطاعت آن نبی سر باز زند باید از جمع بنی‌اسرائیل ریشه‌كن شود.'

²⁴Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

²⁴ و همچنین تمام انبیا از سموئیل به بعد، یک صدا زمان حاضر را پیشگویی می‌کردند.

²⁵You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘In your seed will all the families of the earth be blessed.’ Genesis 22:18; 26:4

²⁵ شما فرزندان انبیا هستید و به این سبب در آن پیمانی كه خدا با اجداد شما بست سهمی دارید، چنانکه خدا به ابراهیم فرمود: 'از نسل تو جمیع اقوام روی زمین بركت خواهند یافت.' هنگامی‌كه خدا بندهٔ خود عیسی را برگزید، او را قبل از همه پیش شما فرستاد تا شما را از راههای شرارت‌آمیزتان برگرداند و به این وسیله شما را بركت دهد.»

²⁶God, having raised up his servant, Jesus, sent him to you first, to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your wickedness.”

²⁶ هنگامی‌كه خدا بندهٔ خود عیسی را برگزید، او را قبل از همه پیش شما فرستاد تا شما را از راههای شرارت‌آمیزتان برگرداند و به این وسیله شما را بركت دهد.»
