¹At that time Yahweh said to me, “Cut two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.

¹ «آنگاه خداوند به من فرمود: 'دو لوح سنگی دیگر مانند لوح‌های قبلی بتراش و یک صندوق چوبی بساز. لوح‌ها را در صندوق بگذار و به بالای کوه نزد من بیا.

²I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.”

² من بر آنها همان احکامی را که بر لوح‌های قبلی نوشته بودم و تو آنها را شکستی، دوباره می‌نویسم. آن وقت، تو آن دو لوح را در صندوق بگذار.'

³So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tables of stone like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.

³ «پس من یک صندوق از چوب اقاقیا ساختم، دو لوح سنگی را هم مثل لوح‌های قبلی تراشیدم و آنها را برداشته به بالای کوه رفتم.

⁴He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Yahweh gave them to me.

⁴ خداوند همان احکام ده‌گانه را که وقتی همهٔ شما در پایین کوه جمع شده بودید از میان آتش به شما داد، دوباره بر آنها نوشت.

⁵I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.

⁵ آنگاه من از کوه پایین آمدم و طبق فرمان خداوند لوح‌ها را در صندوقی که ساخته بودم گذاشتم که تا امروز در آن قرار دارند.»

⁶(The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his place.

⁶ (بعد قوم اسرائیل از بیروتِ بنی‌یعقان به موسیره رفتند. در آنجا هارون درگذشت و به خاک سپرده شد و پسرش العازار، به جای او به خدمت کهانت گماشته شد.

⁷From there they traveled to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

⁷ از آنجا به سفر خود ادامه داده به جدجوده کوچ کردند و سپس به یُطبات، سرزمینی که دارای جویهای آب روان بود رفتند.

⁸At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.

⁸ در همان وقت بود که خداوند طایفه لاوی را انتخاب کرد تا صندوق پیمان خداوند را حمل کنند و در حضور او بایستند و او را خدمت کنند و به نام او برکت بدهند که تا به امروز همین وظایف را انجام می‌دهند.

⁹Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, according as Yahweh your God spoke to him.)

⁹ به این دلیل است که به لاویان، مثل طایفه‌های دیگر سهمی در سرزمین داده نشد، چون خود خداوند میراث آنها می‌باشد، همان‌طور که خداوند خدای شما به آنها گفت.)

¹⁰I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Yahweh listened to me that time also; Yahweh would not destroy you.

¹⁰ «همانطور که پیشتر گفتم، من مثل دفعه اول مدّت چهل شبانه‌روز در بالای کوه ماندم. باز هم خداوند دعایم را قبول فرمود و نخواست شما را از بین ببرد.

¹¹Yahweh said to me, “Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.”

¹¹ خداوند به من فرمود: 'برخیز به سفر خود ادامه بده و مردم را رهبری کن تا بروند و آن سرزمین را که به نیاکانشان وعده داده بودم، تصاحب کنند.'

¹²Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

¹² «پس حالا ای قوم اسرائیل، باید بدانید که خداوند از شما چه می‌خواهد: از خداوند خدایتان بترسید، طریق او را دنبال کنید، او را با تمام دل و جان دوست بدارید و خدمت کنید.

¹³to keep the commandments of Yahweh, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?

¹³ و احکام او را که امروز به شما ابلاغ می‌کنم و برای خیر و صلاح شماست بجا آورید.

¹⁴Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.

¹⁴ آسمان و زمین و هرآنچه در آنهاست، به خداوند تعلّق دارد.

¹⁵Only Yahweh had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.

¹⁵ با این وجود، محبّت خداوند به نیاکان شما آن‌قدر بود که شما را به جای اقوام دیگر انتخاب کرد و شما هنوز قوم برگزیده او هستید.

¹⁶Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.

¹⁶ پس مطیع خداوند باشید و سرسختی نکنید.

¹⁷For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons, nor takes reward.

¹⁷ زیرا خداوند خدایتان، خدای خدایان و خداوندِ خداوندان است. خدایی است با عظمت و توانا و با هیبت. تبعیض را نمی‌پسندد و رشوه نمی‌گیرد.

¹⁸He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.

¹⁸ او به داد یتیمان و بیوه‌زنان می‌رسد. غریبان را دوست می‌دارد و برای آنها غذا و لباس تهیّه می‌کند.

¹⁹Therefore love the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ شما هم به غریبان شفقت نشان بدهید، زیرا شما نیز در سرزمین مصر غریب بودید.

²⁰You shall fear Yahweh your God; you shall serve him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.

²⁰ از خداوند خدایتان بترسید و تنها او را بپرستید. به او توکّل کنید و فقط به نام او قسم بخورید.

²¹He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.

²¹ او مایهٔ افتخار شما و همان خدایی است که در برابر چشمانتان معجزات بزرگی به شما نشان داد. هنگامی‌که اجداد شما به مصر رفتند، هفتاد نفر بودند، حالا خداوند خدایتان تعداد شما را به اندازهٔ ستارگان آسمان ساخته است.

²²Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now Yahweh your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.

²² هنگامی‌که اجداد شما به مصر رفتند، هفتاد نفر بودند، حالا خداوند خدایتان تعداد شما را به اندازهٔ ستارگان آسمان ساخته است.
