¹These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth.

¹ «وقتی به سرزمینی که خداوند خدای نیاکانتان به شما داده است، وارد شدید، باید این احکام و قوانین را تا زنده هستید، بجا آورید.

²You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree:

² شما باید تمام عبادتگاه‌های مردمی را که سرزمین ایشان را اشغال می‌کنید، از بین ببرید، چه در بالای کوهها و تپّه‌ها باشند و چه در زیر درختان سبز.

³and you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods; and you shall destroy their name out of that place.

³ قربانگاهها را ویران کنید، ستونهایشان را بشکنید و نشانه‌های الههٔ اشره را در آتش بسوزانید و بُتهای ایشان را قطعه‌قطعه کنید تا هرگز دیگر در آن مکانها ستایش نشوند.

⁴You shall not do so to Yahweh your God.

⁴ «شما نباید خداوند خدایتان را به طوری که آنها خدایان خود را می‌پرستند، پرستش کنید؛

⁵But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you shall seek, and there you shall come;

⁵ بلکه جایی را که خداوند خدایتان خودش از بین طایفه‌های اسرائیل انتخاب می‌کند، آنجا را عبادتگاه خود بسازید. شما باید به آنجا بروید.

⁶and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock:

⁶ قربانی سوختنی و دیگر قربانی‌های خود را با ده درصد دارایی خود، هدایای مخصوص، هدایای نذری، هدایای داوطلبانه، نخستزاده‌های گلّه‌ها و رمه‌هایتان به آنجا بیاورید.

⁷and there you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.

⁷ آنجا در حضور خداوند خدایتان که شما را برکت داده است، شما و خانواده‌هایتان از دسترنج خود خواهید خورد و لذّت خواهید برد.

⁸You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;

⁸ «شما نباید مانند امروز رفتار کنید که هرکس هرچه در نظر خودش درست است، انجام می‌دهد؛

⁹for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Yahweh your God gives you.

⁹ زیرا هنوز شما وارد سرزمینی که خداوند به شما داده است نشده‌اید؛ مکانی که می‌توانید در آن با آرامش زندگی کنید.

¹⁰But when you go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety;

¹⁰ هنگامی‌که از رود اردن عبور کنید، خداوند اجازه می‌دهد آن سرزمین را تصرّف و در آنجا زندگی کنید. او شما را از همهٔ دشمنان حفظ خواهد کرد و شما در آرامش خواهید زیست.

¹¹then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.

¹¹ خداوند یک مکان را انتخاب خواهد کرد تا او در آنجا ستایش شود و در آنجا شما باید هر آنچه را به شما دستور داده‌ام، بیاورید، یعنی قربانی‌های سوختنی و بقیّهٔ قربانی‌ها، ده در صد دارایی و هدایای مخصوص که شما به خداوند وعده داده‌اید.

¹²You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

¹² در آنجا در حضور خداوند، همراه با فرزندان و خدمتکاران خود و لاویانی که در میان شما هستند، شادمان باشید. به‌خاطر داشته باشید که لاویان زمینی از خود ندارند.

¹³Take heed to yourself that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;

¹³ قربانی‌های سوختنی خود را در هر جا که دلتان بخواهد تقدیم نکنید،

¹⁴but in the place which Yahweh shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

¹⁴ بلکه شما باید فقط در یک محل که خداوند در میان یکی از طایفه‌های شما انتخاب می‌کند، قربانی کنید. فقط آنجا می‌توانید قربانی سوختنی تقدیم کنید و کارهای دیگری را که به شما فرمان داده‌ام، انجام دهید.

¹⁵Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of Yahweh your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

¹⁵ «امّا شما آزادید که حیوانات را ذبح کنید و گوشت آنها را در هر کجا که هستید، بخورید. شما می‌توانید هر تعدادی را که خداوند به شما می‌دهد، بخورید. همهٔ شما چه پاک یا ناپاک می‌توانید از آن بخورید، همان‌طور که گوشت آهو و غزال را می‌خورید.

¹⁶Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.

¹⁶ امّا شما نباید خون آن را بخورید، بلکه آن را مثل آب بر زمین بریزید.

¹⁷You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;

¹⁷ همچنین شما نباید هیچ‌کدام از هدایا را در محلی که زندگی می‌کنید بخورید: ده درصد غلّه، شراب، روغن، نخستزاده‌های گلّه و رمه، چیزهایی را که برای خداوند نذر کرده‌اید، هدایای داوطلبانه و هدایای مخصوص.

¹⁸but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to.

¹⁸ شما و فرزندانتان به همراه خدمتگزاران و لاویانی که در شهر شما زندگی می‌کنند، می‌توانید از این هدایا در حضور خداوند خدایتان در مکانی که خداوند برای پرستش خود برگزیده، بخورید و شما باید در هر کاری که در حضور خداوند خدایتان انجام می‌دهید، شادمان باشید.

¹⁹Take heed to yourself that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

¹⁹ مطمئن باشید که لاویان را تا زمانی که در سرزمین خود هستید، فراموش نکنید.

²⁰When Yahweh your God shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.

²⁰ «هنگامی‌که خداوند خدایتان، مطابق وعدهٔ خود مرزهای شما را گسترش دهد، هر وقت که بخواهید می‌توانید گوشت بخورید.

²¹If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to put his name there, is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.

²¹ اگر مکانی که خداوند برای پرستش خود برگزیده، از شما دور باشد؛ آنگاه آزاد هستید که گلّه یا رمه‌تان را که خداوند به شما داده است، همان‌طور که قبلاً به شما گفتم، در هر جایی که دلتان بخواهد ذبح کنید و گوشت آن را بخورید.

²²Even as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so you shall eat of it: the unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.

²² همهٔ شما چه پاک یا ناپاک، می‌توانید از آن بخورید، همان‌طور که گوشت آهو و غزال را می‌خورید.

²³Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood: for the blood is the life; and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.

²³ فقط مطمئن باشید که گوشتی را که در آن خون هست نخورید، زیرا حیات در خون است و شما نباید حیات را با گوشت بخورید.

²⁴You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.

²⁴ خون را برای غذا استفاده نکنید، بلکه آن را مانند آب بر زمین بریزید.

²⁵You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh.

²⁵ اگر چنین کنید، با فرزندان خود در زندگی خیر می‌بینید، زیرا این کار شما خداوند را خشنود می‌سازد.

²⁶Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose:

²⁶ ولی آنچه را که وقف خداوند می‌کنید -‌خواه هدایای نذری باشند خواه قربانی‌ها‌- باید همه را به مکانی که خداوند برای پرستش خود برگزیده، بیاورید.

²⁷and you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Yahweh your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of Yahweh your God; and you shall eat the flesh.

²⁷ قربانی‌هایی را که باید کاملاً سوخته شوند، در قربانگاه خداوند تقدیم کنید. همچنین قربانی‌هایی که گوشت آن را می‌خورید و خون آن را بر قربانگاه می‌ریزید.

²⁸Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.

²⁸ دقّت کنید آنچه را به شما امر می‌کنم، اطاعت کنید و همیشه همه‌چیز برای شما و فرزندانتان به خیر خواهد گذشت. زیرا شما عمل درست و کاری که خداوند خدایتان را خشنود می‌کند، انجام می‌دهید.

²⁹When Yahweh your God shall cut off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land;

²⁹ «خداوند خدایتان ملّتهایی را که شما سرزمین آنها را تصرّف می‌کنید و در آنجا زندگی می‌کنید، نابود خواهد ساخت.

³⁰take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”

³⁰ بعد از آن که خداوند آن ملّتها را نابود کرد، مطمئن باشید که مراسم مذهبی آنها را انجام ندهید؛ سعی نکنید که بدانید آنها چگونه خدایان خود را پرستش می‌کنند تا شما هم به همان طریق خداوند را ستایش کنید.

³¹You shall not do so to Yahweh your God: for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.

³¹ خداوند خدایتان را مانند خدایان ایشان پرستش نکنید؛ زیرا در مراسم ستایش خدایان خودشان کارهای زشتی را که خداوند شما از آن نفرت دارد، انجام می‌دهند. آنها حتّی فرزندان خود را در قربانگاه در آتش قربانی می‌کنند. «هر آنچه را که به شما فرمان داده‌ام، با دقّت انجام دهید؛ نه چیزی به آن بیفزایید و نه کم کنید.

³²Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

³² «هر آنچه را که به شما فرمان داده‌ام، با دقّت انجام دهید؛ نه چیزی به آن بیفزایید و نه کم کنید.
