¹He who is wounded in the stones, or has his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

¹ «هرکسی که بیضه‌ها یا آلت تناسلی‌اش بریده شده باشد، اجازه ندارد که داخل جماعت خداوند شود.

²A bastard shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none of his enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

² «شخص حرامزاده و فرزندان او، تا ده نسل حق ندارند که در جماعت خداوند داخل شوند.

³An Ammonite or a Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of Yahweh; even to the tenth generation shall none belonging to them enter into the assembly of Yahweh forever:

³ «به هیچ یک از عمونیان و موآبیان و فرزندان آنها تا ده نسل نباید اجازهٔ ورود در جماعت خداوند داده شود،

⁴because they didn’t meet you with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you.

⁴ زیرا وقتی شما از مصر خارج شدید آنها با نان و آب به استقبال شما نیامدند. آنها حتّی بلعام، پسر بعور را که از مردم فتور بود از بین‌النهرین اجیر کردند تا شما را لعنت کند.

⁵Nevertheless Yahweh your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam; but Yahweh your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because Yahweh your God loved you.

⁵ امّا خداوند خدایتان به حرف بلعام توجّه نکرد. برعکس چون شما را دوست داشت لعنت را به برکت تبدیل کرد.

⁶You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

⁶ بنابراین تا زنده هستید هرگز نباید به آنها کمک کنید که سعادتمند شوند.

⁷You shall not abhor an Edomite; for he is your brother: you shall not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as a foreigner in his land.

⁷ «امّا شما نباید اَدومیان را دشمن خود بشمارید، زیرا آنها خویشاوندان شما هستند. همچنین از مردم مصر نباید متنفّر باشید، چرا که در سرزمین‌شان زندگی می‌کردید.

⁸The children of the third generation who are born to them shall enter into the assembly of Yahweh.

⁸ نسل سوم ایشان اجازه دارند که در جماعت خداوند داخل شوند.

⁹When you go forth in camp against your enemies, then you shall keep yourselves from every evil thing.

⁹ «وقتی برای جنگ با دشمنان اردو می‌زنید، باید از هرگونه ناپاکی دوری کنید.

¹⁰If there is among you any man who is not clean by reason of that which happens him by night, then shall he go outside of the camp. He shall not come within the camp:

¹⁰ اگر کسی به‌خاطر انزال شبانه ناپاک شود، باید به خارج اردوگاه برود و در آنجا بماند.

¹¹but it shall be, when evening comes on, he shall bathe himself in water; and when the sun is down, he shall come within the camp.

¹¹ سپس غسل کند و هنگام غروب آفتاب به اردوگاه بازگردد.

¹²You shall have a place also outside of the camp, where you shall go forth abroad:

¹² «مستراحها را در بیرون اردوگاه بسازید.

¹³and you shall have a paddle among your weapons; and it shall be, when you sit down abroad, you shall dig therewith, and shall turn back and cover that which comes from you:

¹³ هرکسی در بین ابزار خود باید وسیله‌ای برای کَندن زمین داشته باشد که قبل از قضای حاجت، با آن زمین را حفر کند و بعد مدفوع خود را بپوشاند.

¹⁴for Yahweh your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you, and to give up your enemies before you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that he may not see an unclean thing in you, and turn away from you.

¹⁴ اردوگاه را پاكیزه نگه دارید، زیرا خداوند خدایتان در اردوگاه با شماست تا شما را حفاظت کند و بر دشمنان پیروز گرداند. مرتکب کار پلیدی نشوید، مبادا خداوند از شما روگردان شود.

¹⁵You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

¹⁵ «هرگاه برد‌ه‌ای از صاحب خود فرار کند و پیش شما بیاید، او را مجبور نکنید که پیش صاحب خود بازگردد.

¹⁶he shall dwell with you, in the midst of you, in the place which he shall choose within one of your gates, where it pleases him best: you shall not oppress him.

¹⁶ او می‌تواند در بین شما در هر جایی که بخواهد زندگی کند و شما نباید بر او ظلم کنید.

¹⁷There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Israel, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

¹⁷ «مردان یا زنان اسرائیلی نباید فاحشهٔ پرستشگاه شوند.

¹⁸You shall not bring the hire of a prostitute, or the wages of a dog, into the house of Yahweh your God for any vow: for even both these are an abomination to Yahweh your God.

¹⁸ شما نباید پولی را که از راه فحشا و لواط به دست می‌آید، به عنوان نذر به خانهٔ خداوند خدایتان بیاورید، زیرا خداوند از فاحشه‌های پرستشگاه بیزار است.

¹⁹You shall not lend on interest to your brother; interest of money, interest of food, interest of anything that is lent on interest:

¹⁹ «هرگاه به یک اسرائیلی برای خوراک و یا چیزهای دیگر پول قرض می‌دهید، از او سود نگیرید،

²⁰to a foreigner you may lend on interest; but to your brother you shall not lend on interest, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all that you put your hand to, in the land where you go in to possess it.

²⁰ امّا اگر به یک بیگانه ‌قرض بدهید می‌توانید از او سود بگیرید، ولی نه از یک اسرائیلی. به این ترتیب خداوند خدایتان در آن سرزمینی که وارد می‌شوید در همهٔ کارها به شما برکت می‌دهد.

²¹When you shall vow a vow to Yahweh your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for Yahweh your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

²¹ «وقتی‌که برای خداوند خدایتان نذر می‌کنید باید بدون تأخیر آن را ادا نمایید، زیرا اگر نذر خود را به موقع ادا نکنید، در پیشگاه خداوند گناهکار محسوب می‌شوید.

²²But if you shall forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in you.

²² امّا اگر از نذر کردن خودداری کنید، گناهکار نیستید.

²³That which is gone out of your lips you shall observe and do; according as you have vowed to Yahweh your God, a freewill offering, which you have promised with your mouth.

²³ هرچه می‌گویید، به آن عمل کنید. همین طور وقتی به دلخواه خود برای خداوند خدایتان نذر می‌کنید، باید در ادای آن دقّت کامل به عمل آورید.

²⁴When you come into your neighbor’s vineyard, then you may eat of grapes your fill at your own pleasure; but you shall not put any in your vessel.

²⁴ «وقتی به تاکستان کسی می‌روید، از انگورهای آن هرقدر که بخواهید می‌توانید بخورید، امّا نباید انگور را در ظرفی بریزید و با خود ببرید. هرگاه به کشتزار کسی داخل می‌شود، می‌توانید با دستتان خوشه‌ها را بچینید و بخورید، ولی نباید از داس استفاده کنید.

²⁵When you come into your neighbor’s standing grain, then you may pluck the ears with your hand; but you shall not move a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain.

²⁵ هرگاه به کشتزار کسی داخل می‌شود، می‌توانید با دستتان خوشه‌ها را بچینید و بخورید، ولی نباید از داس استفاده کنید.
