¹It shall be, when you have come in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell therein,

¹ «وقتی به سرزمینی که خداوند خدایتان به شما می‌دهد، رسیدید و آن را تصرّف نمودید و در آن ساکن شدید،

²that you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you shall bring in from your land that Yahweh your God gives you; and you shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

² باید مقداری از نوبر میوهٔ محصولات زمین خود را در سبدی بگذارید و به مکانی که خداوند برای پرستش خود برگزیده است، ببرید.

³You shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and tell him, “I profess this day to Yahweh your God, that I am come to the land which Yahweh swore to our fathers to give us.”

³ نزد کاهن مسئول بروید و به او بگویید: 'من اعتراف می‌کنم که خداوند خدای تو مرا به سرزمینی که به اجداد ما وعده فرموده بود، آورده است.'

⁴The priest shall take the basket out of your hand, and set it down before the altar of Yahweh your God.

⁴ «آنگاه کاهن سبد را از شما می‌گیرد و در برابر قربانگاه خداوند خدایتان قرار می‌دهد.

⁵You shall answer and say before Yahweh your God, “A Syrian ready to perish was my father; and he went down into Egypt, and lived there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

⁵ آنگاه در حضور خداوند خدایتان بگویید: 'جدّ من یک اَرامی آواره بود که خانوادهٔ خود را به مصر برد تا در آنجا زندگی کنند. هنگامی‌که به آنجا رفتند، تعدادشان کم بود، ولی قومی نیرومند و پرجمعیّت شدند.

⁶The Egyptians dealt ill with us, and afflicted us, and laid on us hard bondage:

⁶ مصریان با ما به خشونت رفتار کردند و ما را مجبور ساختند که به عنوان برده کار کنیم.

⁷and we cried to Yahweh, the God of our fathers, and Yahweh heard our voice, and saw our affliction, and our toil, and our oppression;

⁷ آنگاه ما برای کمک به درگاه خداوند خدای اجدادمان فریاد برآوردیم. خداوند صدای ما را شنید و رنج و سختی و بدبختی ما را دید.

⁸and Yahweh brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs, and with wonders;

⁸ خداوند با دست توانا و بازوی نیرومند خود و وحشت عظیم، با نشانه‌ها و شگفتیها، ما را از مصر بیرون آورد

⁹and he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

⁹ و به این سرزمینی که غنی و حاصلخیز است آورد و آن را به ما بخشید.

¹⁰Now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, Yahweh, have given me.” You shall set it down before Yahweh your God, and worship before Yahweh your God.

¹⁰ پس اکنون نوبر محصولی را که او به من داده است، تقدیم می‌کنم.' «آنگاه سبد را در حضور خداوند، پایین بگذارید و خداوند را ستایش کنید.

¹¹You shall rejoice in all the good which Yahweh your God has given to you, and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the foreigner who is in the midst of you.

¹¹ به‌خاطر برکاتی که خداوند خدایتان به شما و خانواده‌تان داده است، شکرگزار باشید و اجازه بدهید که لاویان و بیگانگانی که در میان شما هستند، در برپا کردن جشن به شما بپیوندند.

¹²When you have made an end of tithing all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled.

¹² «هر سه سال، یک‌بار باید ده درصد تمام محصولاتتان را به لاویان، غریبان، یتیمان و بیوه زنان شهرتان بدهید که بخورند و سیر شوند.

¹³You shall say before Yahweh your God, “I have put away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandment which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed any of your commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

¹³ بعد در حضور خداوند خدایتان بگویید: 'طبق فرمان تو تمام ده درصد محصول خود را به لاویان، غریبان، یتیمان و بیوه زنان دادم و از هیچ یک از احکام تو سرپیچی نکرده و آنها را از یاد نبرده‌‌ام.

¹⁴I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put away of it, being unclean, nor given of it for the dead: I have listened to the voice of Yahweh my God; I have done according to all that you have commanded me.

¹⁴ هنگامی‌که عزادار یا ناپاک بوده‌‌ام، از آن ده درصد محصول نخورده‌‌ام و برای مردگان هدیه نکرده‌ام و از همهٔ اوامر خداوند خدای خود اطاعت نموده‌ام.

¹⁵Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the ground which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

¹⁵ ای خداوند، از جایگاه مقدّست در آسمان، نظر بینداز و قوم خود اسرائیل و همچنین این سرزمین غنی و حاصلخیزی را که طبق وعده‌ات به نیاکان ما، به ما بخشیده‌ای برکت بده.'

¹⁶This day Yahweh your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances: you shall therefore keep and do them with all your heart, and with all your soul.

¹⁶ «امروز خداوند خدایتان امر می‌فرماید که تمام احکام و قوانین او را به دقّت و از دل و جان بجا آورید.

¹⁷You have declared Yahweh this day to be your God, and that you would walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice:

¹⁷ امروز شما پذیرفته‌اید که خداوند خدای شماست؛ شما قول داده‌اید که از او پیروی کنید تمام احکام او را بجا آورید و هر آنچه را که او فرمان دهد انجام دهید.

¹⁸and Yahweh has declared you this day to be a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;

¹⁸ امروز خداوند شما را طبق وعده‌اش به عنوان قوم خودش پذیرفته است و به شما فرمان می‌دهد که احکام او را بجا آورید، او شما را بزرگترین قومی که تا به حال آفریده است، خواهد کرد و شما نام او را عزّت و جلال خواهید داد. همان‌گونه که وعده داده بود، شما قوم برگزیدهٔ او خواهید بود.»

¹⁹and to make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that you may be a holy people to Yahweh your God, as he has spoken.

¹⁹ او شما را بزرگترین قومی که تا به حال آفریده است، خواهد کرد و شما نام او را عزّت و جلال خواهید داد. همان‌گونه که وعده داده بود، شما قوم برگزیدهٔ او خواهید بود.»
