1Then Joseph couldn’t control himself before all those who stood before him, and he cried, “Cause everyone to go out from me!” No one else stood with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

یوسف دیگر نتوانست پیش خدمتكارانش جلوی احساس خود را بگیرد. پس دستور داد تا همه از اتاق او بیرون بروند. و هنگامی که او خود را به برادرانش شناسانید هیچكس آنجا نبود.
2He wept aloud. The Egyptians heard, and the house of Pharaoh heard.

او با صدای بسیار بلند گریه كرد به طوری كه مصریان او را شنیدند و این خبر به گوش فرعون رسید.
3Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Does my father still live?” His brothers couldn’t answer him; for they were terrified at his presence.

یوسف به برادرانش گفت: «من یوسف هستم. آیا پدرم هنوز زنده است؟» امّا وقتی برادرانش این را شنیدند، به قدری ترسیدند كه نتوانستند جواب بدهند.
4Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” They came near. “He said, I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

سپس یوسف به آنها گفت: «جلوتر بیایید.» آنها جلوتر آمدند. یوسف گفت: «من، برادر شما، یوسف هستم- همان کسیکه او را به مصر فروختید-
5Now don’t be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.

حالا از اینکه مرا به اینجا فروختید نگران نباشید و خود را سرزنش نكنید. در واقع این خدا بود كه مرا قبل از شما به اینجا فرستاد تا زندگی مردم را نجات دهد.
6For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are yet five years, in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest.

حالا فقط سال دوّم قحطی است. پنج سال دیگر هم محصولی در كار نخواهد بود.
7God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance.

خدا مرا قبل از شما به اینجا فرستاد تا از این راه عجیب به فریاد شما برسد و تا شما و فرزندانتان زنده بمانید.
8So now it wasn’t you who sent me here, but God, and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

پس در واقع شما نبودید كه مرا به اینجا فرستادید، بلكه خدا بود. او مرا دارای بزرگترین مقام دربار فرعون و مسئول تمام كشور و نخستوزیر مصر كرده است.
9Hurry, and go up to my father, and tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says, “God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me. Don’t wait.

«حالا فوراً پیش پدرم بازگردید و به او بگویید: این سخنان پسرت یوسف است: 'خدا مرا نخستوزیر مصر كرده است. بدون تأخیر پیش من بیا.
10You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you will be near to me, you, your children, your children’s children, your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.

تو میتوانی در منطقهٔ جوشن زندگی كنی -جایی كه به من نزدیک باشی- تو، فرزندان تو، نوههای تو، گوسفندانت، بُزهایت، گاوهایت، و هرچه كه داری.
11There I will nourish you; for there are yet five years of famine; lest you come to poverty, you, and your household, and all that you have.”’

اگر تو در جوشن باشی، من میتوانم از تو مواظبت كنم، هنوز پنج سال دیگر از قحطی باقیمانده است. من نمیخواهم كه تو و خانوادهات و گلّههایت از بین بروید.'»
12Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

یوسف به سخنان خود ادامه داد و گفت: «حالا همهٔ شما و همچنین تو، بنیامین، میتوانید ببینید كه من واقعاً یوسف هستم.
13You shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen. You shall hurry and bring my father down here.”

به پدرم بگویید كه من اینجا در مصر دارای چه قدرتی هستم. هرچه كه دیدهاید به پدرم بگویید. سپس فوراً او را به اینجا بیاورید.»
14He fell on his brother Benjamin’s neck, and wept, and Benjamin wept on his neck.

یوسف دست خود را به گردن برادرش بنیامین انداخت و شروع كرد به گریه كردن. بنیامین هم درحالیکه یوسف را در بغل گرفته بود، گریه میكرد.
15He kissed all his brothers, and wept on them. After that his brothers talked with him.

یوسف سپس در حالی كه هنوز گریه میكرد، برادرانش را یكییكی در آغوش گرفت و بوسید، بعد از آن برادرانش با او به گفتوگو پرداختند.
16The report of it was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, “Joseph’s brothers have come.” It pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

وقتی خبر به کاخ فرعون رسید كه برادران یوسف آمدهاند فرعون و درباریان همه خوشحال شدند.
17Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do this. Load your animals, and go, travel to the land of Canaan.

فرعون به یوسف گفت: «به برادرانت بگو چارپایان خود را بار كنند و به كنعان برگردند.
18Take your father and your households, and come to me, and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and you will eat the fat of the land.’

سپس پدر و خانوادههایشان را بردارند و به اینجا بیایند. من بهترین زمین مصر را و بیشتر از آنچه كه برای زندگی آنها لازم باشد، به ایشان خواهم داد.
19Now you are commanded: do this. Take wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

به آنها بگو چندین گاری از مصر با خود ببرند تا زنان و بچّههای كوچک را سوار كنند و همراه پدرشان بیاورند.
20Also, don’t concern yourselves about your belongings, for the good of all of the land of Egypt is yours.”

آنها از بابت چیزهایی كه نمیتوانند با خود بیاورند نگران نباشند زیرا بهترین چیزها در سرزمین مصر مال آنها خواهد بود.»
21The sons of Israel did so. Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.

پسران یعقوب همانطورکه به ایشان گفته شده بود، انجام دادند و یوسف همانطورکه فرعون دستور داده بود، چند گاری و خوراک برای سفر به ایشان داد.
22He gave each one of them changes of clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and five changes of clothing.

همچنین به هرکدام از آنها یک دست لباس داد. امّا به بنیامین سیصد سكّهٔ نقره و پنج دست لباس داد.
23He sent the following to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and provision for his father by the way.

یوسف ده بار الاغ از بهترین چیزهای مصر و ده بار الاغ غلاّت و نان و آذوقه برای سفر پدرش فرستاد.
24So he sent his brothers away, and they departed. He said to them, “See that you don’t quarrel on the way.”

او برادران خود را روانه نمود و به آنها گفت: «در راه با یكدیگر دعوا نكنید.»
25They went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan, to Jacob their father.
25
آنها مصر را ترک كردند و به نزد پدرشان یعقوب در كنعان رفتند.
26They told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” His heart fainted, for he didn’t believe them.
26
به پدرشان گفتند: «یوسف هنوز زنده است. او نخستوزیر مصر است!» یعقوب مات و متحیّر شده بود، زیرا نمیتوانست حرفهای آنها را باور كند.
27They told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them. When he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob, their father, revived.

امّا وقتی آنها تمام سخنان یوسف را به او گفتند، و وقتی گاریهایی را كه یوسف برای آوردن او به مصر فرستاده بود، دید حرفهای آنها را باور كرد.
او گفت: «پسرم یوسف هنوز زنده است. این تنها چیزی بود كه میخواستم. میروم و قبل از مردنم او را میبینم.»
28Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

او گفت: «پسرم یوسف هنوز زنده است. این تنها چیزی بود كه میخواستم. میروم و قبل از مردنم او را میبینم.»
