¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before Yahweh, and died;

¹ پس از آن که دو پسر هارون، هنگامی‌که آتش غیرمقدّسی به خداوند تقدیم می‌کردند، مُردند.

²and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

² خداوند به موسی فرمود: «به برادرت، هارون بگو که تنها در وقت معیّن به مقدّسترین مکان که پشت پرده است و در آنجا صندوق پیمان و تخت رحمت قرار دارند، داخل شود. در هیچ زمان دیگر وارد آنجا نشود، مبادا بمیرد. زیرا من در ابر بالای تخت رحمت ظاهر می‌شوم.

³“Herewith shall Aaron come into the sanctuary: with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

³ شرایط ورود هارون به مقدّسترین مکان به این ترتیب است: او باید یک گوساله را برای قربانی گناه و یک قوچ را به عنوان قربانی سوختنی بیاورد.

⁴He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

⁴ «او باید غسل کند و لباس مخصوص کهانت را که عبارت از ردای کتانی، زیرجامه، کمربند و دستار کتانی است بپوشد.

⁵He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

⁵ «قوم اسرائیل باید دو بُز نر برای قربانی گناه و یک قوچ، جهت قربانی سوختنی به هارون بدهند.

⁶“Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

⁶ هارون باید گوساله را برای کفّارهٔ گناه خود و خانواده‌اش قربانی کند.

⁷He shall take the two goats, and set them before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

⁷ سپس دو بُز را گرفته، به حضور خداوند در برابر دروازهٔ خیمهٔ مقدّس ببرد.

⁸Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats; one lot for Yahweh, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

⁸ سپس هارون قرعه بیندازد تا معلوم شود که کدام بُز از آن خداوند و کدام‌یک را باید در بیابان رها کند.

⁹Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for Yahweh, and offer him for a sin offering.

⁹ آنگاه بُزی را که به قید قرعه برای خداوند تعیین شد، به عنوان قربانی گناه سر ببرد

¹⁰But the goat, on which the lot fell for the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make atonement for him, to send him away for the scapegoat into the wilderness.

¹⁰ و بُز دیگر را در بیابان رها کند تا گناه قوم اسرائیل را با خود ببرد.

¹¹“Aaron shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

¹¹ «پس از آن که هارون گوسالهٔ نر را برای کفّارهٔ گناه خود و خانواده‌اش قربانی کرد،

¹²He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:

¹² یک منقل پُر از زغال مشتعل را از قربانگاه گرفته با دو مشت بُخور خوشبو کوبیده به مقدّسترین مکان ببرد.

¹³and he shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

¹³ در حضور خداوند، بُخور را بر روی آتش بریزد تا دود آن مانند ابری، تخت رحمت را که بالای صندوق پیمان است، بپوشاند تا او آن را نبیند و نمیرد.

¹⁴He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

¹⁴ بعد کمی از خون گوساله را با انگشت خود یک‌بار در جلوی تخت رحمت و بعد هفت بار در جلوی صندوق پیمان بپاشد.

¹⁵“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

¹⁵ «سپس بُز را برای کفّارهٔ گناه قوم قربانی کند و خون آن را به مقدّسترین مکان ببرد و مثل خون گوساله، بر تخت رحمت و جلوی آن بپاشد.

¹⁶and he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting, that dwells with them in the midst of their uncleanness.

¹⁶ به این طریق برای مقدّسترین مکان که به‌خاطر گناهان قوم اسرائیل آلوده شده و برای خیمهٔ مقدّس که در میانشان قرار دارد و ناپاک گردیده است، کفّاره می‌دهد.

¹⁷No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

¹⁷ از زمانی که هارون برای مراسم کفّاره به داخل مقدّسترین مکان می‌رود تا زمانی که از آنجا بیرون می‌آید، هیچ‌کسی نباید در داخل خیمهٔ مقدّس حاضر باشد. وقتی‌که مراسم قربانی را برای خود، خانواده‌اش و تمام قوم اسرائیل به انجام رسانید،

¹⁸“He shall go out to the altar that is before Yahweh and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

¹⁸ باید به طرف قربانگاه در حضور خداوند برای آن کفّاره بدهد. بعد کمی از خون گوسالهٔ نر و بُز را بر چهار شاخ قربانگاه بمالد.

¹⁹He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and make it holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

¹⁹ و قدری از خون را با انگشت خود، هفت بار بر قربانگاه بپاشد تا آن را از آلودگیهای قوم اسرائیل پاک کند و تقدیسش نماید.

²⁰“When he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

²⁰ «وقتی هارون مراسم مذهبی را برای مقدّسترین مکان، خیمهٔ مقدّس و قربانگاه تمام کرد، بُز زنده را حاضر کند

²¹Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.

²¹ و هر دو دست خود را بر سر آن بگذارد و به گناهان و خطاهای قوم اسرائیل اعتراف کند و گناهانشان را بر سر آن بُز انتقال دهد. سپس بُز را شخص معیّنی به بیابان ببرد و در آنجا رها کند.

²²The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

²² آن حیوان تمام تقصیرات مردم را به جای غیر مسکونی می‌برد.

²³“Aaron shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

²³ «بعد هارون باید به داخل خیمهٔ مقدّس برود و لباس مخصوص کهانت را که جهت انجام مراسم مذهبی در مقدّسترین مکان پوشیده بود، از تن بیرون کرده، در همان‌جا بگذارد.

²⁴Then he shall bathe himself in water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

²⁴ سپس در جای مقدّسی غسل کند و لباسهای خود را بپوشد. بعد از آن بیرون برود و قربانی سوختنی را برای خود و برای قوم اسرائیل تقدیم کند و به این وسیله برای خود و قوم اسرائیل کفّاره کند.

²⁵The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar.

²⁵ تمام چربی قربانی گناه را بر سر قربانگاه بسوزاند.

²⁶“He who lets the goat go for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁶ و کسی‌که بُز را به بیابان می‌برد، بعد از انجام وظیفه، لباس خود را بشوید و غسل کند، آن وقت می‌تواند وارد اردوگاه شود.

²⁷The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried forth outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.

²⁷ گوسالهٔ نر و بُزی که به عنوان قربانی گناه ذبح شدند و هارون خون آنها را برای کفّارهٔ گناه مردم به مقدّسترین مکان برد، باید به بیرون اردوگاه برده شوند و با پوست، گوشت و سرگین آنها سوزانده شوند.

²⁸He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁸ کسی‌که آنها را می‌سوزاند، باید لباس خود را بشوید و غسل کند و آنگاه می‌تواند به اردوگاه بازگردد.

²⁹“It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, the native-born, or the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you:

²⁹ «این مقرّرات باید همواره انجام شود: در روز دهم ماه هفتم، قوم اسرائیل و هم بیگانگانی که در میانشان زندگی می‌کنند، باید روزه بگیرند و نباید کار کنند،

³⁰for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before Yahweh.

³⁰ زیرا در آن روز، مراسم کفّارهٔ گناه انجام می‌شود، تا همهٔ شما در حضور خداوند از گناه پاک باشید.

³¹It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls; it is a statute forever.

³¹ آن روز، یک روز بسیار مقدّس است و شما نباید به هیچ وجه کار کنید، بلکه روزه‌دار باشید و این قانون را برای همیشه نگاه دارید.

³²The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

³² کاهنی که به جای پدر خود تعیین و تقدیس می‌شود، لباس مخصوص کهانت را دربر کند و مراسم مذهبی را انجام دهد.

³³Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

³³ او همچنین برای مقدّسترین مکان، خیمهٔ مقدّس، قربانگاه، کاهنان و قوم اسرائیل کفّاره کند. این یک قانون ابدی است و برای کفّارهٔ گناهان قوم اسرائیل، هر سال یک مرتبه انجام شود.» موسی همهٔ اوامر خداوند را بجا آورد.

³⁴“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” It was done as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³⁴ این یک قانون ابدی است و برای کفّارهٔ گناهان قوم اسرائیل، هر سال یک مرتبه انجام شود.» موسی همهٔ اوامر خداوند را بجا آورد.
