¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود

²“Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded,

² که این دستورات را به هارون، پسران او و قوم اسرائیل بدهد:

³Whatever man there is of the house of Israel, who kills a bull, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,

³ «اگر کسی از قوم اسرائیل، گاو، گوسفند یا بُزی را در جای دیگری به غیراز جلوی در ورودی خیمهٔ مقدّس برای خداوند قربانی کند، خون ریخته و گناهکار است و دیگر از جمله اعضای قوم خداوند به شمار نمی‌آیند.

⁴and hasn’t brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to offer it as an offering to Yahweh before the tabernacle of Yahweh: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.

⁴ معنی این قانون این است که مردم اسرائیل از این به بعد در صحرا قربانی نکنند، بلکه آنها باید قربانی‌های خود را پیش کاهن به جلوی در ورودی خیمهٔ مقدّس ببرند و به عنوان قربانی سلامتی به حضور خداوند، تقدیم نمایند.

⁵This is to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh.

⁵ کاهن باید خون قربانی را بر قربانگاه خداوند در جلوی درِ ورویِ خیمهٔ مقدّس بپاشد و چربی آن را که مثل عطر خوشبو برای خداوند خوشایند است، بسوزاند.

⁶The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

⁶ قوم اسرائیل دیگر نباید با قربانی کردن برای ارواح شریر در صحرا به خداوند خیانت کنند، این یک قانون جاودانی است که نسلهای آینده نیز باید آن را رعایت کنند.

⁷They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.’

⁷ «به مردم بگو که اگر یک اسرائیلی و یا بیگانه‌ای که در بین آنها زندگی می‌کند،

⁸“You shall say to them, ‘Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

⁸ به غیراز جلوی در ورودی خیمهٔ مقدّس در جای دیگری برای خداوند قربانی کند، باید از میان قوم بیرون رانده شود.

⁹and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to sacrifice it to Yahweh; that man shall be cut off from his people.

⁹ «هرگاه یک اسرائیلی و یا بیگانه‌ای که در میان آنها زندگی می‌کند، خون بخورد، از او روی می‌گردانم و از بین قوم خود طردش می‌کنم.

¹⁰“‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

¹⁰ جان هر موجود زنده‌ای در خون اوست و من آن را به شما داده‌ام که برای کفّارهٔ گناهان خود در قربانگاه بریزید تا گناهان شما پاک گردد. خونی که در آن حیات است، گناهان را پاک می‌کند

¹¹For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.

¹¹ به این دلیل من به شما دستور می‌دهم که نه خودتان و نه بیگانه‌ای که در میان شماست، نباید خون بخورید.

¹²Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, “No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.”

¹² «هر اسرائیلی یا بیگانه‌ای که در بین مردم اسرائیل زندگی می‌کند، اگر حیوان یا پرنده‌ای شکار کند، باید خونش را بریزد و خون را با خاک بپوشاند.

¹³“‘Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten; he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust.

¹³ زیرا زندگی هر موجود زنده‌ای در خون اوست، بنابراین به قوم اسرائیل گفتم که آنها نباید خون هیچ جانوری را بخورند، چرا که زندگی هر موجودی در خون اوست و هرکسی که آن را بخورد، باید از بین قوم رانده شود.

¹⁴For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life: therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.”

¹⁴ «هرکسی که گوشت حیوان مرده یا حیوانی را که توسط یک جانور وحشی دریده شده باشد، بخورد خواه آن شخص اسرائیلی باشد، خواه بیگانه‌ای در بین‌ ایشان، باید لباس خود را بشوید و غسل کند. آن شخص تا شام ناپاک می‌باشد و بعد از آن پاک می‌شود. امّا اگر لباس خود را نشوید و غسل نکند، گناهکار شمرده می‌شود.»

¹⁵“‘Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening: then he shall be clean.

¹⁵ امّا اگر لباس خود را نشوید و غسل نکند، گناهکار شمرده می‌شود.»

¹⁶But if he doesn’t wash them, or bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.’”
