¹Yahweh said to Moses,

¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God.

² که به قوم اسرائیل بگوید: «من خداوند خدای شما هستم.

³You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes.

³ شما نباید از کارهای مردم مصر که در سرزمین ایشان زندگی می‌کردید، پیروی کنید. یا از کارهای کنعانیان که شما را به سرزمین آنها می‌برم، تقلید نمایید.

⁴You shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God.

⁴ شما باید احکام مرا بجا آورید و از دستورات من اطاعت کنید، زیرا من خداوند خدای شما هستم.

⁵You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them: I am Yahweh.

⁵ از احکامی که به شما می‌دهم و از قوانینی که برای شما وضع می‌کنم، پیروی نمایید تا زندگی خود را حفظ کنید. من خداوند هستم.

⁶“‘None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yahweh.

⁶ «هیچ‌کسی نباید با شخصی که محرم اوست، همبستر شود.

⁷“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.

⁷ با مادرت همبستر مشو، زیرا با این کار، مادر خود را بی‌عصمت می‌سازی.

⁸“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife: it is your father’s nakedness.

⁸ اگر با زنان دیگر پدرت همبستر شوی، پدرت را بی‌حرمت می‌کنی.

⁹“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.

⁹ با خواهر یا خواهر ناتنی‌ات، چه دختر پدرت باشد چه دختر مادرت، چه در خانه تولّد یافته باشد، چه در خارج، نباید همبستر شوی.

¹⁰“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.

¹⁰ با دختر پسرت و یا دختر دخترت همبستر مشو، چرا که این کار سبب بی‌عفّتی آنها و رسوایی خودت می‌شود.

¹¹“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.

¹¹ با دختر زن پدرت همبستر مشو، زیرا آن دختر هم خواهر توست.

¹²“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman.

¹² با عمه که خواهر پدرت یا خاله که خواهر مادرت است، همبستر مشو.

¹³“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.

¹³ با زن عمویت همبستر نشو، چون او مانند عمهٔ توست.

¹⁴“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, you shall not approach his wife: she is your aunt.

¹⁴ با عروست همبستر مشو، چون او زن پسرت است.

¹⁵“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.

¹⁵ با زن برادرت همبستر مشو، زیرا با این‌کارت برادرت را بی‌حرمت می‌سازی.

¹⁶“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife: it is your brother’s nakedness.

¹⁶ با دختر و نوهٔ زنی که با او نزدیکی کرده‌ای، همبستر مشو، چون این کار زنا کردن با محرم است.

¹⁷“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

¹⁷ تا زمانی که زنت زنده است، نباید با خواهر او ازدواج کنی.

¹⁸“‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.

¹⁸ «با زنی که عادت ماهانه دارد، همبستر مشو.

¹⁹“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.

¹⁹ تو نباید با زن یک شخص دیگر همبستر شوی، چرا که به وسیلهٔ او ناپاک می‌شوی.

²⁰“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.

²⁰ هیچ‌یک از فرزندانت را برای بت مولِک بر قربانگاه او نسوزان، چون این عمل، نام خداوند، خدای تو را بی‌حرمت می‌سازد.

²¹“‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech; neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am Yahweh.

²¹ هیچ مردی نباید با مرد دیگری رابطهٔ جنسی داشته باشد، زیرا خدا از این کار نفرت دارد.

²²“‘You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable.

²² هیچ زن یا مردی نباید با حیوانی رابطهٔ جنسی داشته باشد، چون با این عمل خود را ناپاک می‌سازد و این کار بسیار زشت است.

²³“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.

²³ «با این کارها خود را ناپاک نسازید، زیرا به‌خاطر همین کار است که می‌خواهم همهٔ اقوامی را که در این سرزمین زندگی می‌کنند، بیرون کنم و شما را در آن جای دهم.

²⁴“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.

²⁴ آن سرزمین به‌خاطر کارهای زشت آنها آلوده شد، بنابراین می‌خواهم همهٔ ساکنان آنجا را به سزای کارهایشان برسانم و آنها را از آنجا بیرون اندازم.

²⁵The land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.

²⁵ شما خواه اسرائیلی باشید، خواه بیگانه، باید قوانین و احکام مرا بجا آورید و از ارتکاب کارهای زشت خودداری کنید.

²⁶You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;

²⁶ زیرا آن سرزمین به‌خاطر کارهای زشت آن مردمی که پیش از شما در آنجا بودند، آلوده شد.

²⁷(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land became defiled);

²⁷ و شما هم اگر به آن‌گونه کارها دست بزنید و آن سرزمین را آلوده کنید، مثل آن مردم از آنجا بیرون انداخته می‌شوید.

²⁸that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

²⁸ زیرا هرکسی که مرتکب یکی از این کارهای زشت شود، از بین قوم طرد می‌گردد. «بنابراین هرگز با ارتکاب کارهای زشتِ آن مردم، خود را آلوده نسازید، بلکه قوانین مرا بجا آورید، زیرا من خداوند خدای شما هستم.»

²⁹“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

²⁹ «بنابراین هرگز با ارتکاب کارهای زشتِ آن مردم، خود را آلوده نسازید، بلکه قوانین مرا بجا آورید، زیرا من خداوند خدای شما هستم.»

³⁰Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them: I am Yahweh your God.’”
