¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود:

²“Moreover, you shall tell the children of Israel, ‘Anyone of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners in Israel, who gives any of his seed to Molech; he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

² «به قوم اسرائیل بگو که هرکسی، چه اسرائیلی باشد چه بیگانه‌ای که در بین آنها زندگی می‌کند، اگر فرزندان خود را برای بت مولِک قربانی کند، باید سنگسار شود.

³I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

³ من خودم برضد او بر می‌خیزم و از بین قوم طردش می‌کنم، زیرا فرزندان خود را برای بت مولِک قربانی کرده و با این کار خود معبد مرا آلوده و نام مقدّس مرا بی‌حرمت نموده است.

⁴If the people of the land all hide their eyes from that person, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and don’t put him to death;

⁴ اگر مردم از گناه او چشم بپوشند و او را محکوم به مرگ نکنند،

⁵then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all who play the prostitute after him, to play the prostitute with Molech, from among their people.

⁵ آن وقت خودم به ضد او و خانواده‌اش و همهٔ کسان دیگری که با پرستش بت مولِک به من خیانت کرده‌اند، بر می‌خیزم و آنها را از بین قوم طرد می‌کنم.

⁶“‘The person that turns to those who are mediums, and to the wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

⁶ «اگر شخصی از ارواح و جادوگران کمک طلب کند، گناهکار است و من به ضد او بر می‌خیزم و از بین قوم طردش می‌کنم.

⁷“‘Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Yahweh your God.

⁷ پس خود را تقدیس کنید، و مقدّس باشید، زیرا من خداوند خدای شما هستم.

⁸You shall keep my statutes, and do them. I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.

⁸ احکام مرا بجا آورید. من خداوند هستم و شما را پاک و مقدّس می‌سازم.

⁹“‘For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

⁹ «هرکسی که پدر یا مادر خود را لعنت کند باید کشته شود و خونش به گردن خودش می‌باشد.

¹⁰“‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

¹⁰ «اگر شخصی با زن شخص دیگری زنا کند، باید زن و مرد هر دو کشته شوند.

¹¹“‘The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹¹ کسی‌که با زن پدر خود همبستر شود، به پدر خود بی‌حرمتی کرده است و هر دو باید کشته شوند و خونشان به گردن خودشان خواهد بود.

¹²“‘If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have committed a perversion; their blood shall be upon them.

¹² هرگاه مردی با عروس خود زنا کند، هر دو باید کشته شوند، زیرا با محرم خود زنا کرده است و خونشان به گردن خودشان خواهد بود.

¹³“‘If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹³ اگر مردی با مرد دیگری رابطهٔ جنسی داشته باشد، هردوی آنها مرتکب کار زشتی شده‌اند و باید هر دو کشته شوند، خودشان مسئول مرگ خودشان خواهند بود.

¹⁴“‘If a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burned with fire, both he and they; that there may be no wickedness among you.

¹⁴ اگر مردی با زنی و مادر او ازدواج کند، گناه عظیمی را مرتکب شده است و هر سه را باید در آتش بسوزانند، تا این لکهٔ بدنامی از میان شما پاک شود.

¹⁵“‘If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.

¹⁵ اگر مردی با یک حیوان جماع کند، آن مرد با حیوان یک‌‌جا کشته شوند.

¹⁶“‘If a woman approaches any animal, and lies down with it, you shall kill the woman, and the animal: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹⁶ همچنین اگر زنی با یک حیوان جماع کند، زن و حیوان هر دو باید کشته شوند و خونشان به گردن خودشان خواهد بود.

¹⁷“‘If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁷ «اگر مردی با خواهر یا خواهر ناتنی خود ازدواج کند، کار بسیار زشتی کرده است و هر دو باید در برابر عموم مردم از بین قوم طرد گردند و آن مرد باید جزا ببیند، چرا که با خواهر خود زنا کرده است.

¹⁸“‘If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness; he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

¹⁸ اگر مردی با زنی که عادت ماهانه دارد همبستر شود، هر دو قانون شکنی کرده‌اند و باید از بین قوم طرد گردند.

¹⁹“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, nor of your father’s sister; for he has made naked his close relative: they shall bear their iniquity.

¹⁹ «اگر مردی با عمه یا خالهٔ خود همبستر گردد، هر دو باید مجازات شوند، چرا که با محرم خود زنا کرده‌اند.

²⁰If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

²⁰ اگر مردی با زن عمو یا زن دایی خود همبستر شود، به ایشان بی‌حرمتی کرده است. این مرد و زن باید به سزای کار خود برسند و بدون فرزند بمیرند.

²¹“‘If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is an impurity: he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.

²¹ هرگاه مردی با زن سابق برادر خود ازدواج کند، به برادر خود بی‌احترامی کرده است و هر دو بدون فرزند خواهند مُرد.

²²“‘You shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land, where I am bringing you to dwell, may not vomit you out.

²² «شما باید همهٔ احکام و دستورات مرا بجا آورید و به آنها عمل کنید تا شما را از آن سرزمینی که به شما بخشیده‌ام، طرد نکنم.

²³You shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I am casting out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

²³ شما نباید از آداب و رسوم مردمی که می‌خواهم از آنجا برانم، پیروی کنید؛ زیرا آنها به‌خاطر کارهایشان، مرا از خودشان بیزار کرده‌اند.

²⁴But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.

²⁴ من به شما وعده داده‌ام که شما آن سرزمین غنی و حاصلخیز را متصرّف شوید. من خداوند خدای شما هستم که شما را از اقوام جهان جدا کردم و برای خود برگزیدم.

²⁵“‘You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.

²⁵ شما باید بتوانید تشخیص دهید که کدام حیوان یا پرنده حلال یا حرام است. و شما نباید گوشت حیوان یا پرندهٔ حرام را بخورید، زیرا من آنها را حرام ساخته‌ام و خوردن آنها شما را ناپاک می‌کند.

²⁶You shall be holy to me: for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.

²⁶ شما باید برای من پاک و مقدّس باشید، زیرا من، خداوند و قدّوس هستم و شما را از اقوام دیگر جدا کردم تا قوم من باشید. «هر مرد یا زنی که ارواح مردگان را احضار می‌کند، باید سنگسار شود و خونش به گردن خودش خواهد بود.»

²⁷“‘A man or a woman that is a medium, or is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.’”

²⁷ «هر مرد یا زنی که ارواح مردگان را احضار می‌کند، باید سنگسار شود و خونش به گردن خودش خواهد بود.»
