¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود:

²“Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

² «به قوم اسرائیل دستور بده که روغن زیتون خالص را برای چراغهای معبد بیاورند و چراغها همیشه روشن باشند.

³Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from evening to morning before Yahweh continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

³ هارون هر شامگاه چراغهایی را که در چراغدانهای طلای خالص، که در بیرون پرده مقدّس‌ترین مکان، مقابل صندوق پیمان قرار دارند، با روغن زیتون پُر کند و چراغها را همیشه آماده تا صبح روشن نگه دارد. این قانونی جاودانی برای نسلهای آیندهٔ شماست.

⁴He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before Yahweh continually.

⁴ «با دوازده کیلو آرد، دوازده قرص نان بپزید

⁵“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenth parts of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel shall be in one cake.

⁵ و آنها را در دو ردیف شش تایی بر سر میزی که از طلای خالص ساخته شده است و در حضور من قرار دارد، بگذارید.

⁶You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before Yahweh.

⁶ بر هر ردیف نان، کُندُر خالص بگذارید تا به عنوان نمونه‌ای از نان بر آتش به حضور من تقدیم کنید

⁷You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

⁷ در آینده در هر سبت نان باید به حضور خداوند تقدیم شود. این وظیفهٔ مردم اسرائیل برای همیشه است.

⁸Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before Yahweh continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel an everlasting covenant.

⁸ این نان به هارون و پسرانش تعلّق دارد، آنها را باید در یک‌‌جای مقدّس بخورند، زیرا این هدیه از مقدّسترین هدایایی است که به‌ حضور من تقدیم می‌شود.»

⁹It shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire by a perpetual statute.”

⁹ روزی مردی که پدرش مصری و مادرش یک اسرائیلی به نام شلومیت، دختر دِبری، از طایفهٔ دان بود، با مردی اسرائیلی در اردوگاه به نزاع پرداخت و به خداوند کفر گفت و او را پیش موسی آوردند.

¹⁰The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

¹⁰ او را توقیف کردند تا ببینند خواست خداوند برای او چیست.

¹¹The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹¹ خداوند به موسی فرمود:

¹²They put him in custody, until the will of Yahweh should be declared to them.

¹² «آن مرد را از اردوگاه بیرون ببرید و همهٔ کسانی‌که کفر گفتن او را شنیدند دستهای خود را بر او بگذارند و آنگاه تمام قوم اسرائیل او را سنگسار کنند.

¹³Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹³ به قوم اسرائیل بگو که هرکسی که به خدای خود کفر بگوید، به سزای عملش برسد و باید بمیرد

¹⁴“Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁴ و تمام مردم اسرائیل او را سنگسار کنند. این قانون شامل حال مردم اسرائیل و همچنین بیگانگانی که در بین آنها زندگی می‌کنند، می‌شود.

¹⁵You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁵ «هرکسی که مرتکب قتل گردد، باید کشته شود.

¹⁶He who blasphemes the name of Yahweh, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: the foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁶ اگر کسی حیوانی را که متعلّق به او نیست بکشد، باید عوض آن را به صاحبش بدهد، جان به عوض جان.

¹⁷“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

¹⁷ «هرگاه شخصی به کس دیگری صدمه برساند، باید او هم همان صدمه را ببیند.

¹⁸He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁸ اگر استخوان کسی را بشکند، استخوان او نیز باید شکسته شود. هرگاه کسی چشم شخص دیگری را کور کند، باید چشم خودش هم کور شود. و اگر دندان کسی را بشکند دندان او را نیز بشکنند. هرگاه شخص دیگری را زخمی‌ کند خود او هم باید زخمی‌ شود.

¹⁹If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:

¹⁹ هرکسی که یک حیوان را بکشد، باید عوض آن را بدهد و اگر شخص دیگری را بکشد، خودش هم کشته شود.

²⁰fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.

²⁰ این قانون برای اسرائیلی‌ها و هم برای بیگانگان است زیرا من خداوند خدای شما هستم.» پس موسی اینها را به مردم گفت و آنگاه آن مرد را به بیرون اردوگاه برده، سنگسارش کردند و مردم اسرائیل مطابق فرمان خداوند عمل نمودند.

²¹He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.

²¹ پس موسی اینها را به مردم گفت و آنگاه آن مرد را به بیرون اردوگاه برده، سنگسارش کردند و مردم اسرائیل مطابق فرمان خداوند عمل نمودند.

²²You shall have one kind of law, for the foreigner as well as the native-born: for I am Yahweh your God.’”

²³Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel did as Yahweh commanded Moses.
