¹Yahweh said to Moses in Mount Sinai,

¹ خداوند این دستورات را در کوه سینا به موسی داد:

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.

² «به قوم اسرائیل بگو هنگامی‌که وارد سرزمینی که به شما می‌دهم شدید، هر هفت سال بگذارید که زمین من استراحت کند.

³Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruits;

³ شش سال زمینهای خود را کشت کنید، درختان انگور را هرس نمایید و محصولات خود را جمع کنید.

⁴but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Yahweh. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

⁴ امّا در سال هفتم زمین را به خداوند وقف نمایید و در آن چیزی نکارید و هرس نکنید.

⁵What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your undressed vine you shall not gather. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

⁵ نباتات خودرو را که در زمین شما می‌رویند درو نکنید و همچنین انگور را از درختانی که هرس نشده‌اند برای خود نچینید. آن سال برای زمین، سال استراحت است.

⁶The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.

⁶ گرچه در آن سال کشت و زراعت نمی‌شود، امّا من برای شما و غلام، کنیز و کارگرانتان و همچنین بیگانگان که در بین شما زندگی می‌کنند، خوراک تهیّه می‌کنم.

⁷For your livestock also, and for the animals that are in your land, shall all its increase be for food.

⁷ رمه و گلّهٔ شما و جانوران وحشی هم باید از محصول زمین بخورند.

⁸“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.

⁸ «هفت مرتبه هفت سال یعنی در مجموع چهل و نُه سال بشمار،

⁹Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

⁹ سپس در روز دهم ماه هفتم، یعنی روز کفّاره، شخصی را بفرست تا در سرتاسر زمین شیپور بزند.

¹⁰You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

¹⁰ به این ترتیب، سال پنجاهم را مقدّس بشمارید و برای همهٔ ساکنان سرزمین اعلام آزادی کنید. در این سال همهٔ دارایی، مردمی که فروخته شده بودند، به صاحبان اصلی یا بازماندگان‌شان بازگردانده شوند و هرکس که به عنوان برده فروخته شده بود، به خانوادهٔ خود بازگردد.

¹¹That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines.

¹¹ در سال پنجاهم نه چیزی در زمین بکارید، نه محصول آن را درو نمایید و نه انگورها را جمع کنید.

¹²For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field.

¹² سال پنجاهم، سال مقدّس است و در این سال هر چیزی را که در زمین می‌روید، بخورید.

¹³“‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property.

¹³ «در سال پنجاهم هرکسی باید به مُلک و جای خود بازگردد.

¹⁴“‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

¹⁴ در معاملهٔ خرید و فروش زمین، صادق و با انصاف باشید.

¹⁵According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor. According to the number of years of the crops he shall sell to you.

¹⁵ قیمت آن باید مطابق تعداد سالهایی که به سال پنجاهم آینده مانده است، تعیین گردد.

¹⁶According to the length of the years you shall increase its price, and according to the shortness of the years you shall diminish its price; for he is selling the number of the crops to you.

¹⁶ یعنی اگر سالهای زیادی به سال پنجاهم مانده باشند، قیمت زمین زیادتر و اگر سالهای کمی مانده باشند، از قیمت آن کاسته می‌شود. به این معنی که فروشنده، قیمت محصولات سالهای باقیمانده را از خریدار می‌‌گیرد.

¹⁷You shall not wrong one another; but you shall fear your God: for I am Yahweh your God.

¹⁷ در معامله با بنی‌اسرائیل صادق باشید و از من که خداوند خدای شما هستم، اطاعت کنید.

¹⁸“‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.

¹⁸ «اوامر و فرامین مرا بجا آورید تا در سرزمین خود با آسودگی و امنیّت زندگی کنید.

¹⁹The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

¹⁹ زمین، محصول کافی بار می‌آورد و هرقدر که بخواهید، می‌توانید از محصول آن بخورید و سیر شوید.

²⁰If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase”;

²⁰ «بعضی خواهند پرسید: 'پس در سال هفتم که هیچ کشت و زراع نمی‌شود، چه بخوریم؟'

²¹then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.

²¹ جواب این است که من، زمین را در سال ششم آن‌قدر برکت می‌دهم که برای سه سال محصول کافی بار آورد.

²²You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.

²² تا وقتی در سال هشتم شروع به جمع‌آوری محصول خود می‌کنید، هنوز هم خوراک کافی داشته باشید.

²³“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me.

²³ «زمین را نباید به صورت دایمی بفروشید، زیرا زمین متعلّق به من است. به شما اجازه می‌دهم تا همچون بیگانگان از آن استفاده کنید.

²⁴In all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land.

²⁴ «وقتی زمین فروخته شد، مالک اصلی حق دارد که آن را دوباره بخرد.

²⁵“‘If your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possessions, then his kinsman who is next to him shall come, and redeem that which his brother has sold.

²⁵ اگر یک اسرائیلی تنگدست شود و مجبور گردد که زمین خود را بفروشد، یکی از نزدیکترین خویشاوندان او باید زمین را بازخرید کند.

²⁶If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it;

²⁶ هرگاه آن شخص، کسی را نداشته باشد که زمینش را بازخرید کند، اگر بعد از مدّتی خودش پول کافی به دست آورد که زمین را دوباره بخرد،

²⁷then let him reckon the years since its sale, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.

²⁷ در آن صورت باید قیمت محصولاتی را که تا سال پنجاهم از زمین حاصل می‌شود پرداخت کند و زمین را بازخرید نماید.

²⁸But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee: and in the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.

²⁸ اگر توان بازخرید آن را نداشته باشد، زمین تا سال پنجاهم، پیش خریدار باقی می‌ماند، امّا در سال پنجاهم، باید دوباره آن را به صاحب اصلی خود بازگرداند.

²⁹“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.

²⁹ «هرگاه کسی خانهٔ خود را که در میان دیوارهای شهر واقع است بفروشد، او حق دارد که در ظرف یک سال آن را دوباره بخرد.

³⁰If it isn’t redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.

³⁰ اگر بعد از یک سال نتواند آن را بازخرید کند، در آن صورت خانه به خریدار تعلّق می‌‌گیرد و فروشنده نمی‌تواند در سال پنجاهم آن را دوباره به دست آورد.

³¹But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.

³¹ امّا اگر خانه در روستای بدون دیوار واقع باشد، حکم زمین زراعتی را دارد. مالک اصلی حق بازخرید آن را دارد و آن را باید در سال پنجاهم به او بازگرداند.

³²“‘Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.

³² امّا لاویان می‌توانند املاک خود را در شهرهایی که تعیین شده، در هر زمان بازخرید کنند.

³³The Levites may redeem the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, and it shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

³³ اگر یکی از لاویان خانه خود را در شهر بفروشد و نتواند آن را بازخرید کند، باید در سال پنجاهم آن را دوباره به او بازگردانند، زیرا املاک لاویان به طور دایم متعلّق به مردم اسرائیل است.

³⁴But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

³⁴ امّا لاویان نمی‌توانند کشتزارهای اطراف شهر خود را بفروشند، چرا که آنها مِلک دایمی ایشان است.

³⁵“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support him among you; then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.

³⁵ «هرگاه یکی از اسرائیلیان همسایهٔ تو فقیر و تنگدست شود، به او کمک نما. تو باید از او همانند کارگران خودت حمایت کنی تا بتواند در میان شما زندگی کند.

³⁶Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God; that your brother may live among you.

³⁶ از او سودی نگیر، بلکه از خدای خود بترس و اجازه بده که با تو زندگی کند.

³⁷You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

³⁷ از پولی که به او قرض می‌دهی، سود نگیر و چون به او غذا می‌دهی، توقّع فایده نداشته باش.

³⁸I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

³⁸ من خداوند خدای شما هستم که شما را از سرزمین مصر بیرون آوردم تا سرزمین کنعان را به شما بدهم و خودم خدای شما باشم.

³⁹“‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you; you shall not make him to serve as a slave.

³⁹ «اگر یکی از همسایگان اسرائیلی تو فقیر شود و خود را به تو بفروشد، تو نباید با او مانند یک غلام رفتار کنی.

⁴⁰As a hired servant, and as a temporary resident, he shall be with you; he shall serve with you until the Year of Jubilee:

⁴⁰ او باید مثل یک کارگر روزمزد تا سال پنجاهم برای تو کار کند.

⁴¹then he shall go out from you, he and his children with him, and shall return to his own family, and to the possession of his fathers.

⁴¹ بعد از آن می‌تواند با اطفال خود، خانهٔ تو را ترک کند و به زمین خود و پیش خانوادهٔ خود بازگردد.

⁴²For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as slaves.

⁴² شما بندگان خدا هستید و او شما را از مصر بیرون آورد، پس نباید به بردگی فروخته شوید.

⁴³You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.

⁴³ با آنها با خشونت رفتار مکن و از خداوند بترس.

⁴⁴“‘As for your male and your female slaves, whom you may have; of the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.

⁴⁴ اگر به برده نیاز دارید می‌توانید از اقوامی که در اطراف شما هستند، خریداری کنید.

⁴⁵Moreover of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.

⁴⁵ همچنین می‌توانید فرزندان بیگانگانی را که در بین شما زندگی می‌کنند، حتّی اگر در سرزمین شما به دنیا آمده باشند، بخرید.

⁴⁶You may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them may you take your slaves forever: but over your brothers the children of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.

⁴⁶ آنها تا زنده هستند، غلام شما می‌باشند و می‌توانید آنها را بعد از خود برای فرزندانتان واگذارید، امّا شما نباید با اسرائیلی بدرفتاری کنید.

⁴⁷“‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family;

⁴⁷ «اگر یکی از بیگانگانی که در بین شما زندگی می‌کند ثروتمند شود و یکی از اسرائیلیان تنگدست گردد و خود را به آن بیگانه و یا نزدیکان او بفروشد،

⁴⁸after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;

⁴⁸ یکی از برادرانش یا عمویش یا پسر عمویش یا یکی از اقوام نزدیکش می‌تواند او را بازخرید کند. اگر خودش پول کافی به دست آورد، می‌تواند خود را بازخرید نماید.

⁴⁹or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.

⁴⁹ او باید با کسی‌که او را خریده مشورت کند و بهای بازخریدش را بر مبنای مزد کارگر روزمزد و سالهای باقیمانده تا سال پنجاهم حساب کند.

⁵⁰He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the Year of Jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.

⁵⁰ او باید بهای آزادی خود را به نسبت سالهای باقیمانده بپردازد،

⁵¹If there are yet many years, according to them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

⁵¹ مانند کسی‌که سالانه استخدام شده باشد. صاحب او نباید با خشونت با او رفتار کند.

⁵²If there remain but a few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according to his years of service he shall give back the price of his redemption.

⁵² اگر او با هیچ‌یک از این شرایط آزاد نشد، او و فرزندانش باید در سال پنجاهم آزاد گردند. یک اسرائیلی نمی‌تواند بندهٔ دایمی باشد، زیرا آنها بندگان خداوند هستند. او آنها را از مصر خارج کرد، او خداوند خدای شماست.»

⁵³As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.

⁵³ یک اسرائیلی نمی‌تواند بندهٔ دایمی باشد، زیرا آنها بندگان خداوند هستند. او آنها را از مصر خارج کرد، او خداوند خدای شماست.»

⁵⁴If he isn’t redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee, he, and his children with him.

⁵⁵For to me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.
