¹God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

¹ خدا پناهگاه و قوّت ماست، مددکاری که هنگام سختی فوراً به فریاد ما می‌رسد.

²Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

² بنابراین نخواهیم ترسید، اگر چه زمین بلرزد و کوهها به عمق اقیانوسها فرو روند،

³though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.

³ یا دریاها بخروشند و کف برآورند و کوهها به لرزه درآیند.

⁴There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, the holy place of the tents of the Most High.

⁴ نهری است که جویهای آن شهر خدا را شادمان می‌سازد، و به خانهٔ مقدّس او طراوت می‌بخشد.

⁵God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.

⁵ چون خدا در این شهر ساکن است، پس هرگز ویران نخواهد شد، هر بامداد به کمک آن خواهد آمد.

⁶The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.

⁶ ملّتها هیاهو می‌کنند و دولتها متزلزل می‌شوند، امّا وقتی خدا حرف می‌زند، زمین ذوب می‌گردد.

⁷Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

⁷ خداوند متعال با ماست، خدای یعقوب پناه ماست.

⁸Come, see Yahweh’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth.

⁸ بیایید و عجایب خداوند را مشاهده کنید، و كارهای عظیمی را كه در دنیا انجام داده است، ببینید.

⁹He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.

⁹ او جنگها را در سراسر جهان خاتمه می‌دهد. کمانها را می‌شکند، نیزه‌ها را خُرد می‌کند، و سپرها را در آتش می‌اندازد.

¹⁰“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

¹⁰ از جنگ دست بکشید و بدانید که من خدا هستم، و در سراسر جهان و در بین تمام مردمان متعال می‌باشم. خداوند متعال با ماست و خدای یعقوب پناه ماست.
