¹I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.

¹ سپس فرشته‌ای را دیدم كه از آسمان به زیر می‌آمد و كلید چاه بی‌انتها و زنجیر بزرگی در دست داشت.

²He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,

² او اژدها و آن مار قدیمی را كه همان ابلیس و یا شیطان است گرفت و او را برای مدّت هزار سال در بند نهاده،

³and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.

³ به چاه بی‌انتها انداخت و درِ آن را به رویش بسته، مُهر و موم كرد تا او دیگر نتواند ملّتها را تا پایان آن هزار سال گمراه سازد. بعد از آن برای زمانی كوتاه آزاد گذاشته خواهد شد.

⁴I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn’t worship the beast nor his image, and didn’t receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

⁴ آنگاه تختهایی را دیدم كه بر روی آنها كسانی نشسته بودند كه امر داوری به آنها واگذار گردیده بود. همچنین كسانی را دیدم كه به‌خاطر شهادت عیسی و كلام خدا سرهایشان از تن جدا شده بود -‌کسانی‌که آن حیوان وحشی و پیكره‌اش را پرستش نكرده و نشان آن را بر پیشانی و دستهای خود نداشتند- آنها دوباره زنده شده و هزار سال با مسیح حكمرانی كردند.

⁵The rest of the dead didn’t live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

⁵ امّا بقیّهٔ مردگان تا پایان آن هزار سال زنده نشدند. این اولین رستاخیز است.

⁶Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.

⁶ متبارک و مقدّس است کسی‌که در رستاخیز اول سهمی دارد. مرگ دوم بر آنان قدرت ندارد، بلكه آنان كاهنان خدا و مسیح خواهند بود و تا هزار سال با او حكومت خواهند كرد.

⁷And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison,

⁷ همین‌که این هزار سال به پایان برسد، شیطان از زندان خود آزاد خواهد شد

⁸and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

⁸ و برای فریب‌دادن مللی كه در چهار گوشهٔ زمین هستند، بیرون خواهد رفت. او، جوج و ماجوج را كه مانند شنهای دریا بی‌شمارند، برای جنگ جمع می‌کند.

⁹They went up over the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God, and devoured them.

⁹ آنها در پهنهٔ زمین پخش شدند و اردوی مقدّسین و شهر محبوب او را محاصره كردند. امّا از آسمان آتش بارید و آنان را نابود ساخت.

¹⁰The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹⁰ ابلیس كه آنان را فریب می‌داد، خود به داخل دریاچهٔ آتش و گوگرد، جایی‌که حیوان و نبی دروغین بودند، افكنده شد. آنها شب و روز و تا ابد عذاب و شكنجه خواهند دید.

¹¹I saw a great white throne, and him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. There was found no place for them.

¹¹ آنگاه تخت سفید بزرگی را دیدم كه شخصی بر آن نشسته بود. آسمان و زمین از حضور او گریخت و دیگر اثری از آنها نبود.

¹²I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.

¹² و مردگان را دیدم كه همه از بزرگ و كوچک در مقابل تخت ایستاده بودند و كتابها باز می‌شد. در این وقت كتاب دیگری كه همان دفتر حیات است گشوده شد. مردگان بر طبق آنچه در كتابها نوشته شده بود یعنی مطابق کارهای خود، داوری شدند.

¹³The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades or, Hell gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

¹³ دریا، مردگان خود را تحویل داد و مرگ و دنیای مردگان نیز مردگانی را كه در خود نگاه داشته بودند، پس دادند. آنها از روی کارهایشان داوری شدند.

¹⁴Death and Hades or, Hell were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

¹⁴ آنگاه مرگ و دنیای مردگان به دریاچهٔ آتش افكنده شد. (این دریاچهٔ آتش، مرگ دوم است.) و هرکس كه نامش در دفتر حیات نوشته نشده بود، به درون آن افكنده شد.

¹⁵If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

¹⁵ و هرکس كه نامش در دفتر حیات نوشته نشده بود، به درون آن افكنده شد.
