¹Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright.

¹Regozijai-vos no Senhor, vós justos, pois aos retos fica bem o louvor.

²Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings.

²Louvai ao Senhor com harpa, cantai-lhe louvores com saltério de dez cordas.

³Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!

³Cantai-lhe um cântico novo; tocai bem e com júbilo.

⁴For the word of Yahweh is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.

⁴Porque a palavra do Senhor é reta; e todas as suas obras são feitas com fidelidade.

⁵He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.

⁵Ele ama a retidão e a justiça; a terra está cheia da benignidade do Senhor.

⁶By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.

⁶Pela palavra do Senhor foram feitos os céus, e todo o exército deles pelo sopro da sua boca.

⁷He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.

⁷Ele ajunta as águas do mar como num montão; põe em tesouros os abismos.

⁸Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

⁸Tema ao Senhor a terra toda; temam-no todos os moradores do mundo.

⁹For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

⁹Pois ele falou, e tudo se fez; ele mandou, e logo tudo apareceu.

¹⁰Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹⁰O Senhor desfaz o conselho das nações, anula os intentos dos povos.

¹¹The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

¹¹O conselho do Senhor permanece para sempre, e os intentos do seu coração por todas as gerações.

¹²Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.

¹²Bem-aventurada é a nação cujo Deus é o Senhor, o povo que ele escolheu para sua herança.

¹³Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

¹³O Senhor olha lá do céu; vê todos os filhos dos homens;

¹⁴da sua morada observa todos os moradores da terra,

¹⁵he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.

¹⁵aquele que forma o coração de todos eles, que contempla todas as suas obras.

¹⁶There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹⁶Um rei não se salva pela multidão do seu exército; nem o homem valente se livra pela muita força.

¹⁷A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.

¹⁷O cavalo é vã esperança para a vitória; não pode livrar ninguém pela sua grande força.

¹⁸Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;

¹⁸Eis que os olhos do Senhor estão sobre os que o temem, sobre os que esperam na sua benignidade,

¹⁹to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁹para os livrar da morte, e para os conservar vivos na fome.

²⁰Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.

²⁰A nossa alma espera no Senhor; ele é o nosso auxílio e o nosso escudo.

²¹For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

²¹Pois nele se alegra o nosso coração, porquanto temos confiado no seu santo nome.

²²Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.

²²Seja a tua benignidade, Senhor, sobre nós, assim como em ti esperamos.
