¹How lovely are your dwellings, Yahweh of Armies!

¹Quão amável são os teus tabernáculos, ó Senhor dos exércitos!

²My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

²A minha alma suspira! sim, desfalece pelos átrios do Senhor; o meu coração e a minha carne clamam pelo Deus vivo.

³Yes, the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, near your altars, Yahweh of Armies, my King, and my God.

³Até o pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde crie os seus filhotes, junto aos teus altares, ó Senhor dos exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.

⁴Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah.

⁴Bem-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; louvar-te-ão continuamente.

⁵Blessed are those whose strength is in you; who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.

⁵Bem-aventurados os homens cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração os caminhos altos.

⁶Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.

⁶Passando pelo vale de Baca, fazem dele um lugar de fontes; e a primeira chuva o cobre de bênçãos.

⁷They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.

⁷Vão sempre aumentando de força; cada um deles aparece perante Deus em Sião.

⁸Yahweh, God of Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah.

⁸Senhor Deus dos exércitos, escuta a minha oração; inclina os ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacó!

⁹Behold, God our shield, look at the face of your anointed.

⁹Olha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.

¹⁰For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹⁰Porque vale mais um dia nos teus átrios do que em outra parte mil. Preferiria estar � porta da casa do meu Deus, a habitar nas tendas da perversidade.

¹¹For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.

¹¹Porquanto o Senhor Deus é sol e escudo; o Senhor dará graça e glória; não negará bem algum aos que andam na retidão.

¹²Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

¹²Ó Senhor dos exércitos, bem-aventurado o homem que em ti põe a sua confiança.
