1Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
1Dávidov. Nehnevaj sa na zlostníkov! Nezáviď tým, ktorí páchajú neprávosť.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
2Lebo budú rýchle podťatí jako tráva a uvädnú jako zeleň sviežej byliny.
3Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
3Nadej sa na Hospodina a čiň dobré; bývaj v zemi a živ sa spravedlive.
4Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
4Kochaj sa v Hospodinovi, a dá ti žiadosti tvojho srdca.
5Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
5Uvaľ na Hospodina svoju cestu a nadej sa na neho, a on učiní.
6he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun.
6A vyvedie tvoju spravedlivosť ako svetlo a tvoj súd ako poludnie.
7Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
7Mlč Hospodinovi a čakaj na neho! Nehnevaj sa na toho, ktorému sa darí jeho cesta, na človeka, ktorý robí falošne.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret, it leads only to evildoing.
8Nechaj hnev a opusti prchlivosť! Nehnevaj sa, a to ešte aby si urobil zlé!
9For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.
9Lebo zlostníci budú vyťatí, ale tí, ktorí očakávajú na Hospodina, zdedia zem.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.
10A len málo ešte, a nebude bezbožníka, a pozrieš dobre na jeho miesto, a nebude ho.
11But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
11Ale pokorní zdedia zem a budú sa tešiť veľkému pokoju.
12The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
12Bezbožný zamýšľa spravedlivému zlé a škrípe na neho svojimi zubami.
13The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
13Ale Pán sa mu smeje, lebo vidí, že ide jeho deň.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright in the way.
14Bezbožníci vytasili meč a napäli svoje lučište, aby porazili biedneho a chudobného, aby pobili tých, ktorí idú priamou cestou.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken.
15Ale ich meč vojde do ich vlastného srdca, a ich lučištia budú polámané.
16Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked.
16Lepšie je málo, čo má spravedlivý, než veľké bohatstvo bezbožných, a to mnohých.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Yahweh upholds the righteous.
17Lebo ramená bezbožných budú polámané, ale ten, kto podopiera spravedlivých, je Hospodin.
18Yahweh knows the days of the perfect. Their inheritance shall be forever.
18Hospodin zná dni bezúhonných, a ich dedičstvo bude trvať na veky.
19They shall not be disappointed in the time of evil. In the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19Nebudú sa hanbiť v zlý čas a nasýtia sa vo dňoch hladu.
20But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke.
20Ale bezbožníci istotne zahynú, a nepriatelia Hospodinovi sa pominú jako prelesť lúk, pominú sa jako dym.
21The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
21Bezbožný požičiava a neplatí, ale spravedlivý sa zmilováva a dáva.
22For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
22Lebo tí, ktorým on požehnal, zdedia zem, ale tí, ktorým zlorečil, budú vyťatí.
23A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way.
23Od Hospodina sú staväné kroky muža, a jeho cesta sa mu ľúbi.
24Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.
24Keby aj padol, nebude porazený, lebo Hospodin podopiera jeho ruku.
25I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.
25Mladý som bol aj som sa zostarel, ale som nevidel spravedlivého opusteného ani jeho semena žobrať chleba.
26All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His seed is blessed.
26Každý deň sa zmilováva a vypožičiava, a jeho semeno je na požehnanie.
27Depart from evil, and do good. Live securely forever.
27Odstúp od zlého a čiň dobré a bývaj na veky!
28For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
28Lebo Hospodin miluje súd a neopustí svojich svätých; sú strážení na veky; ale semeno bezbožníkov bude vyťaté.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and live in it forever.
29Spravedliví zaujmú dedične zem a budú na nej bývať na veky.
30The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom. His tongue speaks justice.
30Ústa spravedlivého vravia múdrosť, a jeho jazyk hovorí súd.
31The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps shall slide.
31Zákon jeho Boha je v jeho srdci; jeho kroky sú isté.
32The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
32Bezbožný striehne spravedlivého a hľadá jakoby ho pripravil o život.
33Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
33Ale Hospodin ho neopustí a neponechá ho v jeho ruke ani ho nedá odsúdiť, keď by bol súdený.
34Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
34Očakávaj na Hospodina a ostríhaj jeho cestu, a povýši ťa, aby si dedične zaujal zem, z ktorej že bezbožníci budú vyťatí, uvidíš.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.
35Videl som ukrutného bezbožníka ohromnej sily, rozvetveného jako samorastlý strom zelený v domácej zemi.
36But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
36Ale sa pominul. A hľa, nebolo ho; hľadal som ho, ale sa nenašiel.
37Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.
37Pozoruj nevinného a vidz priameho a uvidíš, že budúcnosť má človek pokoja.
38As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together. The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
38Ale priestupníci budú vyplienení všetci dovedna; koniec bezbožníkov bude ich vyťatie.
39But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
39Ale spasenie spravedlivých je od Hospodina, ktorý je ich pevnosťou v čase súženia,
40Yahweh helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him.
40a Hospodin im pomôže a vyslobodí ich, vyslobodí ich od bezbožníkov a zachráni ich, lebo sa utiekajú k nemu.
