Genesis

6

1It happened, when men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
1 Saaya kaŋ borey sintin ka baa ndunnya fando boŋ, i na ize wayboroyaŋ hay.
1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them,
2that God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took for themselves wives of all that they chose.
2 Kala Irikoy izey di kaŋ borey ize wayey ga boori. I na wandeyaŋ suuban ka sambu i ra, wo kulu kaŋ ngey ga ba.
2that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.
3Yahweh said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; yet will his days be one hundred twenty years.”
3 Kala Rabbi ne: «Ay Biya si kakaw da boro hal abada, zama nga wo Adam-ize no. Amma jirbey kaŋ a ga goro ga to jiiri zangu nda waranka.»
3And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.
4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters. They bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
4 Jirbey din ra Nefilimyaŋ* go ndunnya ra, da tunfaana banda mo. D'i margu nda borey ize wayey, i ga izeyaŋ hay i se. Ngey no ga ti boro gaabikooney kaŋ yaŋ goro doŋ, borey kaŋ yaŋ te maa.
4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.
5Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
5 Rabbi di kaŋ borey laala baa ndunnya ra. A di mo mate kaŋ hay kulu kaŋ i ga miila ngey biney ra, ilaalo koonu no waati kulu.
5And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6Yahweh was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
6 Haya kokor ka Rabbi di da kaŋ nga na boro te ndunnya boŋ. A dooru a gaa a bina ra mo.
6And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7Yahweh said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground; man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”
7 Rabbi ne: «Borey kaŋ ay taka, ay g'i tuusu ndunnya fando boŋ: borey da almaney da ganda birantey da beene curey, zama a kokor k'ay di kaŋ ay n'i te.»
7And Jehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the ground; both man, and beast, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8But Noah found favor in Yahweh’s eyes.
8 Amma Nuhu du gomni Rabbi do.
8But Noah found favor in the eyes of Jehovah.
9This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.
9 Woone yaŋ no ga ti Nuhu bandey: Nuhu wo adilante no, a sinda taali kulu nga zamana borey game ra. Nuhu go ga dira Irikoy banda.
9These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, [and] perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.
10Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
10 Nuhu na ize aru hinza hay, kaŋ yaŋ ga ti Sem da Ham da Zafetu.
10And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
11 Ndunnya mo hasara Irikoy jine, ndunnya to da toonye mo.
11And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
12 Irikoy na ndunnya guna. A kulu go mo, a hasara, zama Adam-ize fo kulu na nga fonda halaci ndunnya boŋ.
12And God saw the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
13God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
13 Kala Irikoy ne Nuhu se: «Fundikooni kulu to nga aloomaro me ay jine, zama i na ndunnya toonandi nda toonye. Guna mo, a si gay kaŋ ay g'i halaci, ngey nda ndunnya kulu.
13And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.

15 Mate kaŋ ni g'a te neeya: hiyo salleyaŋ, kambe kar zangu hinza, a tafayyaŋo ma to kambe kar waygu, a kuuyaŋo mo ma to kambe kar waranza.
15And this is how thou shalt make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.

16A light shalt thou make to the ark, and to a cubit shalt thou finish it upward; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
17 Ay mo, a si gay kaŋ ay ga kande tunfaana haro ndunnya boŋ, zama a ma fundikooney kulu halaci, wo kaŋ yaŋ gonda fundi ka fulanzam, kaŋ yaŋ go beena cire. Hay kulu kaŋ go ndunnya ra ga bu.
17And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon this earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is in the earth shall die.
18But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
18 Amma ay ga alkawli tabbatandi ni se. Ni ga furo hiyo ra, nin da ni izey da ni wando da ni izey wandey ni banda.
18But I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.
19 Ham kulu mo kaŋ gonda fundi i dumey kulu ra, ni ma ihinka-hinka daŋ hiyo ra, alboro fo da wayboro fo, zama i ma funa ni banda.
19And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to keep them alive.

21Take with you of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”
21 Ma konda ni banda ŋwaari dumi kulu kaŋ ga ŋwa mo k'i margu ni do. A ga ciya nin d'ey kulu se ŋwaari.»
21And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22Thus Noah did. According to all that God commanded him, so he did.
22 Yaadin mo no Nuhu te. Haŋ kaŋ Irikoy ci a se kulu, a n'a te.
22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
