Psalms

62

1My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him.
1 Doonkoy jine bora Yedutun se. Dawda baytu fo no.
1For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthan. A Psalm of David. My soul waiteth in silence for God only: From him [cometh] my salvation.
2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress— I will never be greatly shaken.
2 Irikoy hinne se no ay fundo ga hangan dangayyaŋ ra, A do no ay faaba ga fun.
2He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.
3How long will you assault a man, would all of you throw him down, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
3How long will ye set upon a man, That ye may slay [him], all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
4They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
4 Ya araŋ kulu, alwaati marge no araŋ ga soobay ka tun boro gaa zama araŋ m'a wi se, Sanda cinari kaŋ ga siiri, wala sinkita kaŋ ga zinji?
4They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah
5My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him.
5 I si hay kulu saaware te kala day ngey m'a tuti k'a zumandi ka kaa nga beera ra. I go ga maa tangari kaani. Me ra kay, i ga albarka daŋ, Amma i biney ra i goono ga laaliyaŋ te. (Wa dangay)
5My soul, wait thou in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.
6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.
6 Ya ay fundo, ma hangan Irikoy hinne se dangayyaŋ ra, Zama a do no ay beeja ga fun.
6He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be moved.
7With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
7With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.
8 Irikoy do no ay faaba d'ay darza go. Ay gaabo tondi daaro d'ay koruyaŋo, Irikoy do no i go.
8Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah
9Surely men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.
Wa araŋ biney gusam a jine. Irikoy ya koruyaŋ do no iri se. (Wa dangay)
9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.
10Don’t trust in oppression. Don’t become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don’t set your heart on them.
10 Daahir, Adam-izey wo yaamoyaŋ no, Jine borey mo ciya tangari hari yaŋ no. D'i g'i neesi tiŋay neesiyaŋ hari boŋ, I kulu care banda, i ga dogon no fakat! ka bisa haw kaŋ i ga fulanzam d'a.
10Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart [thereon].
11God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.
11God hath spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongeth unto God.
12Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.
12 Irikoy salaŋ sorro folloŋ, Hala sorro hinka zaati ay maa woone: Hini ya Irikoy wane no.
12Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth lovingkindness; For thou renderest to every man according to his work.
