1Bel bows down, Nebo stoops; their idols are on the animals, and on the livestock: the things that you carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary.

2They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves have gone into captivity.

3“Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;
3โอ วงศ์วานของยาโคบเอ๋ย จงฟังเรา คือบรรดาคนที่เหลืออยู่ในวงศ์วานของอิสราเอล ผู้ซึ่งเราอุ้มมาตั้งแต่กำเนิด ชูมาตั้งแต่ในครรภ์
4and even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry, and will deliver.
4จนกระทั่งเจ้าแก่ เราก็คือพระองค์นั้น เราจะอุ้มเจ้าจนเจ้าถึงผมหงอก เราได้สร้าง เราจะชูไว้ เราจะอุ้มและเราจะช่วยให้พ้น
5“To whom will you liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
5เจ้าจะเทียบเราและทำเราให้เท่ากับผู้ใด และเปรียบเรา ว่าเราเหมือนกัน
6Some pour out gold from the bag, and weigh silver in the balance. They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god. They fall down—yes, they worship.
6บรรดาผู้ที่โกยทองคำออกจากไถ้และชั่งเงินในตาชั่ง จ้างช่างทองคนหนึ่ง และเขาก็ทำให้เป็นพระ แล้วเขาทั้งหลายก็กราบลง เออ นมัสการเลย
7They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it stands, from its place it shall not move: yes, one may cry to it, yet it can not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
7เขาทั้งหลายเอารูปนั้นใส่บ่า เขาหามไป เขาตั้งไว้ประจำที่ รูปนั้นก็อยู่ที่นั่น รูปนั้นไปจากที่ไม่ได้ แม้ผู้ใดจะมาร้องขอ รูปนั้นก็ไม่ตอบ หรือช่วยเขาให้รอดจากความยากลำบากของเขาได้
8“Remember this, and show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, you transgressors.
8จำข้อนี้ไว้และจงเป็นลูกผู้ชายแท้ เจ้าผู้ละเมิดทั้งหลาย จงนึกไว้ในใจ
9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me;
9จงจำสิ่งล่วงแล้วในสมัยก่อนไว้ เพราะเราเป็นพระเจ้า และไม่มีอื่นใดอีก เราเป็นพระเจ้า และไม่มีอื่นใดเหมือนเรา
10declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;
10ผู้แจ้งตอนจบให้ทราบตั้งแต่เริ่มต้น และแจ้งถึงสิ่งที่ยังไม่ได้ทำเลย ให้ทราบตั้งแต่กาลโบราณกล่าวว่า `แผนงานของเราจะยั่งยืน และเราจะกระทำให้ความประสงค์ของเราสำเร็จทั้งสิ้น'
11calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yes, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.
11เรียกเหยี่ยวมาจากตะวันออก คือเรียกชายที่ทำตามแผนงานของเราจากเมืองไกล เออ เราพูดแล้ว และเราจะให้เป็นไป เรามุ่งแล้ว และเราจะกระทำด้วย
12Listen to me, you stout-hearted, who are far from righteousness:
12เจ้าผู้จิตใจดื้อดึง เจ้าผู้ห่างไกลจากความชอบธรรม จงฟังเราซิ
13I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
13เราจะนำความชอบธรรมของเรามาใกล้ มันจะไม่ไกลเลย และความรอดของเราจะไม่รอช้า เราจะใส่ความรอดที่ศิโยน เพื่ออิสราเอล สง่าราศีของเรา"
