1Thus says Yahweh to me, Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.
1พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสแก่ข้าพเจ้าด้วยว่า "จงไปซื้อผ้าป่านคาดเอวมาผืนหนึ่ง คาดเอวของเจ้าไว้และอย่าจุ่มน้ำ"
2So I bought a belt according to the word of Yahweh, and put it on my waist.
2ข้าพเจ้าจึงซื้อผ้าคาดเอวผืนหนึ่งตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ และคาดเอวของข้าพเจ้าไว้
3The word of Yahweh came to me the second time, saying,
3และพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าครั้งที่สองว่า
4Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.
4"จงเอาผ้าคาดเอวซึ่งเจ้าได้ซื้อมา ซึ่งอยู่ที่เอวของเจ้า และจงลุกขึ้นไปยังแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส แล้วซ่อนผ้านั้นไว้ในซอกหินแห่งหนึ่ง"
5So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.
5ข้าพเจ้าก็ไปและซ่อนผ้านั้นไว้ข้างแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส ดังที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงบัญชาข้าพเจ้า
6It happened after many days, that Yahweh said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.
6ต่อมาอีกหลายวันพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า "จงลุกขึ้นไปยังแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส และเอาผ้าคาดเอวซึ่งเราได้สั่งเจ้าให้ซ่อนไว้ที่นั่นนั้นมาเสียจากที่นั่น"
7Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
7แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็ไปที่แม่น้ำยูเฟรติส และขุดเอาผ้าคาดเอวมาจากที่ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้ซ่อนไว้ ดูเถิด ผ้าคาดเอวนั้นเสียหมด จะใช้การสิ่งใดก็ไม่ได้
8Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
8แล้วพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ก็มายังข้าพเจ้าว่า
9Thus says Yahweh, In this way I will mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
9"พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า เราก็จะทำลายความทะนงใจของยูดาห์ และความทะนงใจใหญ่ยิ่งของเยรูซาเล็มเสียอย่างนั้นแหละ
10This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.
10คือชนชาติที่ชั่วร้ายนี้ ผู้ปฏิเสธไม่ฟังถ้อยคำของเรา ผู้ที่ดำเนินตามความดื้อกระด้างแห่งจิตใจของตนเอง และได้ติดสอยห้อยตามพระอื่น เพื่อจะปรนนิบัติและนมัสการพระเหล่านั้น จะเป็นเหมือนผ้าคาดเอวนี้ซึ่งจะใช้การสิ่งใดก็ไม่ได้
11For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says Yahweh; that they may be to me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
11เพราะผ้าคาดเอวติดอยู่ที่เอวของมนุษย์ฉันใด เราก็ได้กระทำให้วงศ์วานทั้งสิ้นของอิสราเอลและวงศ์วานทั้งสิ้นของยูดาห์ติดอยู่กับเราฉันนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ เพื่อเขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นประชาชน ชื่อเสียง ที่สรรเสริญ และสง่าราศีแก่เรา แต่เขาทั้งหลายก็ไม่ฟัง
12Therefore you shall speak to them this word: Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall tell you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
12ฉะนั้นเจ้าจงกล่าวถ้อยคำนี้แก่เขาทั้งหลาย พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า `น้ำองุ่นจะเต็มไหทุกลูก' และเขาทั้งหลายจะพูดกับเจ้าว่า `เราไม่รู้หรือว่าน้ำองุ่นจะต้องเต็มไหทุกลูก'
13Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
13แล้วเจ้าจงพูดกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะให้ชาวแผ่นดินนี้ทั้งสิ้นเต็มไปด้วยความมึนเมา คือกษัตริย์ทั้งหลายของผู้ประทับบนบัลลังก์ของดาวิด พวกปุโรหิต พวกผู้พยากรณ์ และชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็มทั้งสิ้น
14I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says Yahweh: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.
14และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เราจะเหวี่ยงเขาทั้งหลายให้ชนกันและกัน พวกพ่อก็ชนพวกลูก เราจะไม่สงสาร หรือไม่ไว้ชีวิต หรือไม่เมตตา แต่เราจะทำลายเขา"
15Hear, and give ear; don’t be proud; for Yahweh has spoken.
15จงฟังและเงี่ยหูฟัง อย่ายโสไปเลย เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงลั่นพระวาจาแล้ว
16Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it gross darkness.
16จงถวายสง่าราศีแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ พระเจ้าของเจ้าทั้งหลาย ก่อนที่พระองค์จะทรงนำความมืดมา ก่อนที่เท้าของเจ้าจะสะดุดบนภูเขาที่มีแสงโพล้เพล้ และขณะเมื่อเจ้าทั้งหลายมองหาความสว่าง พระองค์ทรงกลับให้เป็นเงามัจจุราช และทรงกระทำให้เป็นความมืดทึบ
17But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for your pride; and my eye shall weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock is taken captive.
17แต่ถ้าเจ้าทั้งหลายจะไม่ฟัง จิตใจของข้าพเจ้าก็จะร้องไห้ลับๆ เพราะความทะนงใจของเจ้า ตาของข้าพเจ้าจะร้องไห้มากนัก และมีน้ำตาอาบหน้า เพราะฝูงแกะของพระเยโฮวาห์ถูกต้อนเอาไปเป็นเชลย
18Say to the king and to the queen mother, Humble yourselves, sit down; for your headdresses have come down, even the crown of your glory.
18จงกล่าวแก่กษัตริย์และพระราชินีว่า "ขอทรงประทับ ณ ที่ต่ำ เพราะว่าอำนาจของพระองค์ คือมงกุฎแห่งสง่าราศีของพระองค์จะหล่นมา"
19The cities of the South are shut up, and there is none to open them: Judah is carried away captive, all of it; it is wholly carried away captive.
19หัวเมืองแห่งภาคใต้ก็ถูกปิดซึ่งไม่มีใครจะเปิดได้ ยูดาห์ทั้งสิ้นก็จะถูกกวาดไปเป็นเชลย จะถูกกวาดไปเป็นเชลยหมดทีเดียว
20Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?
20"จงเงยหน้าของเจ้าขึ้นดูเขาเหล่านั้นที่มาจากทิศเหนือ ฝูงแกะที่ได้มอบไว้ให้แก่เจ้านั้นอยู่ที่ไหน คือฝูงแกะที่งดงามของเจ้านั่นน่ะ
21What will you say, when he shall set over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? shall not sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
21เจ้าจะว่าอย่างไรเมื่อเขาจะลงโทษเจ้า เพราะเจ้าเองได้สอนเขาให้เป็นนายและเป็นประมุขของเจ้า ความเจ็บปวดจะไม่เข้ามาครอบงำเจ้า อย่างความเจ็บปวดของผู้หญิงที่กำลังคลอดบุตรหรือ
22If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence.
22และถ้าเจ้าว่าในใจของเจ้าว่า `ทำไมสิ่งเหล่านี้จึงเกิดกับข้า' ก็เพราะความชั่วช้าที่มากมายใหญ่โตของเจ้า เสื้อของเจ้าจึงต้องถูกถลกขึ้น และส้นเท้าของเจ้าจึงไม่ปิดบัง
23Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, who are accustomed to do evil.
23คนเอธิโอเปียเปลี่ยนวรรณของตนเองได้หรือ หรือเสือดาวเปลี่ยนลายของมัน ถ้าได้แล้วเจ้าทั้งหลายผู้ที่เคยต่อการกระทำความชั่ว จะมากระทำความดีก็ได้
24Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passes away, by the wind of the wilderness.
24ฉะนั้นเราจะกระจายเขาทั้งหลายไปเหมือนแกลบที่ถูกลมจากถิ่นทุรกันดาร
25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says Yahweh; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
25นี่เป็นส่วนของเจ้า เป็นส่วนที่เราได้ตวงออกให้แก่เจ้า" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ "เพราะเจ้าได้ลืมเราเสีย และไว้วางใจในการมุสา
26Therefore will I also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame shall appear.
26ฉะนั้น เราเองจะถลกเสื้อคลุมของเจ้ามาปกหน้าเจ้า คือให้เห็นความอับอายขายหน้าของเจ้า
27I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean; how long shall it yet be?
27เราได้เห็นการล่วงประเวณีของเจ้า การครวญหา การเล่นชู้อย่างแก่ราคะของเจ้า และการที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนของเจ้า บนเนินเขาทั้งหลายที่ในทุ่งนา โอ เยรูซาเล็มเอ๋ย วิบัติแก่เจ้า อีกนานสักเท่าใดเจ้าจึงจะยอมกระทำให้เจ้าสะอาดได้"
