¹The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,

¹พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังเยเรมีย์ว่า

²Thus speaks Yahweh, the God of Israel, saying, Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.

²"พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า จงเขียนถ้อยคำทั้งสิ้นที่เราได้บอกแก่เจ้าไว้ในหนังสือม้วนหนึ่ง

³For, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says Yahweh; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

³พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะดูเถิด วันเวลาจะมาถึง เมื่อเราจะให้ประชาชนของเรา คืออิสราเอลและยูดาห์ที่เป็นเชลยกลับคืนสู่สภาพเดิม พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ และเราจะนำเขามายังแผ่นดินซึ่งเราได้ให้แก่บรรพบุรุษของเขาทั้งหลาย และเขาทั้งหลายจะได้ถึงกรรมสิทธิ์ที่ดินนั้น"

⁴These are the words that Yahweh spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

⁴ต่อไปนี้เป็นพระวจนะซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสเกี่ยวกับอิสราเอลและยูดาห์ว่า

⁵For thus says Yahweh: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

⁵"พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า เราได้ยินเสียงร้องเพราะความกลัวตัวสั่น ความสยดสยองและความไร้สันติภาพ

⁶Ask now, and see whether a man does travail with child: why do I see every man with his hands on his waist, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

⁶จงถามเถิดและดูว่า ผู้ชายจะคลอดบุตรได้หรือ ทำไมเราจึงเห็นผู้ชายทุกคนเอามือกดไว้ที่เอวเหมือนผู้หญิงจะคลอดบุตร ทำไมหน้าตาทุกคนจึงซีดไป

⁷Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

⁷อนิจจาเอ๋ย เพราะวันนั้นใหญ่โตเหลือเกิน ไม่มีวันใดเหมือน เป็นเวลาทุกข์ใจของยาโคบ แต่เขาก็ยังจะรอดวันนั้นไปได้

⁸It shall come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Armies, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds; and strangers shall no more make him their bondservant;

⁸พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสว่า ในวันนั้นเหตุการณ์จะเกิดขึ้น คือเราจะหักแอกจากคอของเจ้าทั้งหลายเสีย และเราจะระเบิดพันธนะของเจ้าเสีย และคนต่างชาติจะไม่ทำให้เขาเป็นทาสอีก

⁹but they shall serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.

⁹แต่เขาทั้งหลายจะปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขาทั้งหลาย และดาวิดกษัตริย์ของเขาทั้งหลายผู้ซึ่งเราจะตั้งขึ้นเพื่อเขา

¹⁰Therefore don’t you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says Yahweh; neither be dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.

¹⁰พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า โอ ยาโคบผู้รับใช้ของเราเอ๋ย อย่ากลัวเลย โอ อิสราเอลเอ๋ย อย่าครั่นคร้าม เพราะดูเถิด เราจะช่วยเจ้าจากที่ไกลให้รอด ทั้งเชื้อสายของเจ้าจากแผ่นดินที่เขาไปเป็นเชลย ยาโคบจะกลับมา และมีความสงบและความสบาย และจะไม่มีผู้ใดกระทำให้เขากลัว

¹¹For I am with you, says Yahweh, to save you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have scattered you, but I will not make a full end of you; but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.

¹¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะเราอยู่กับเจ้าเพื่อช่วยเจ้าให้รอด เราจะกระทำให้บรรดาประชาชาติทั้งสิ้นถึงอวสาน คือผู้ซึ่งเราได้กระจายเจ้าให้ไปอยู่ท่ามกลางเขานั้น แต่ส่วนเจ้าเราจะไม่กระทำให้ถึงอวสาน เราจะตีสอนเจ้าตามขนาด และด้วยประการใดก็ตามเราจะไม่ปล่อยเจ้าโดยไม่ลงโทษ

¹²For thus says Yahweh, Your hurt is incurable, and your wound grievous.

¹²เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ฟกช้ำของเจ้ารักษาไม่หาย และบาดแผลของเจ้าก็ฉกรรจ์

¹³There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.

¹³ไม่มีผู้ใดที่จะช่วยคดีของเจ้า ไม่มีการรักษาบาดแผลของเจ้า ไม่มียารักษาเจ้า

¹⁴All your lovers have forgotten you; they don’t seek you: for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased.

¹⁴คนรักทั้งสิ้นของเจ้าได้ลืมเจ้าเสีย เขาทั้งหลายไม่แสวงหาเจ้าแล้ว เพราะเราตีเจ้าอย่างการโบยตีของศัตรู เป็นการลงโทษอย่างของคนโหดร้าย เพราะว่าความชั่วช้าของเจ้าก็มากมาย เพราะว่าบาปของเจ้าก็ทวีขึ้น

¹⁵Why do you cry for your hurt? Your pain is incurable: for the greatness of your iniquity, because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.

¹⁵ไฉนเจ้าร้องเพราะความเจ็บของเจ้า ความเศร้าโศกของเจ้ารักษาไม่หาย เพราะว่าความชั่วช้าของเจ้ามากมาย เพราะว่าบาปของเจ้าทวีขึ้น เราได้กระทำสิ่งเหล่านี้แก่เจ้า

¹⁶Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, everyone of them, shall go into captivity; and those who despoil you shall be a spoil, and all who prey on you will I give for a prey.

¹⁶เพราะฉะนั้นทุกคนที่กินเจ้า เขาจะถูกกิน ปรปักษ์ของเจ้าหมดสิ้นทุกคนจะตกไปเป็นเชลย ผู้เหล่านั้นที่ปล้นเจ้า เขาจะเป็นของถูกปล้น และทุกคนที่กินเจ้าเป็นเหยื่อ เราจะทำเขาให้เป็นเหยื่อ

¹⁷For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh; because they have called you an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.

¹⁷เพราะเราจะให้เจ้ากลับมาสู่สุขภาพดี และเราจะรักษาบาดแผลของเจ้าให้หาย พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัส เพราะเขาทั้งหลายเรียกเจ้าว่า พวกนอกคอก คือศิโยนซึ่งไม่มีใครแสวงหา

¹⁸Thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will turn again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on its own hill, and the palace shall be inhabited in its own way.

¹⁸พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะให้เต็นท์แห่งยาโคบที่เป็นเชลยกลับสู่สภาพเดิม และมีความเอ็นดูในเรื่องที่อาศัยของเขา เขาจะสร้างเมืองนั้นขึ้นใหม่บนเนินของเมือง และพระราชวังจะตั้งอยู่ในที่ที่เคยอยู่

¹⁹Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

¹⁹จะมีเพลงโมทนาพระคุณออกมาจากที่เหล่านั้น และมีเสียงของผู้ที่รื่นเริง เราจะทวีเขาขึ้น และเขาจะไม่มีเพียงน้อยคน เราจะกระทำให้เขามีเกียรติ เขาจะไม่เป็นแต่ผู้เล็กน้อย

²⁰Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all who oppress them.

²⁰ลูกหลานของเขาจะเป็นเหมือนสมัยก่อน และชุมนุมของเขาจะได้ถูกสถาปนาไว้ต่อหน้าเรา และทุกคนที่บีบบังคับเขา เราจะลงโทษ

²¹Their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from their midst; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is he who has had boldness to approach to me? says Yahweh.

²¹ขุนนางของเขาจะเป็นคนหนึ่งในพวกเขาทั้งหลาย ผู้ครอบครองของเขาจะออกมาจากท่ามกลางเขาเอง เราจะกระทำให้ท่านนั้นเข้ามาใกล้ และท่านนั้นจะเข้าใกล้เรา เพราะใครเล่าตั้งใจเข้ามาใกล้เราได้เอง พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัส

²²You shall be my people, and I will be your God.

²²และเจ้าทั้งหลายจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้า"

²³Behold, the storm of Yahweh, his wrath, has gone forth, a sweeping storm: it shall burst on the head of the wicked.

²³ดูเถิด นั่นลมบ้าหมูของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ออกไปแล้วด้วยพระพิโรธ เป็นลมบ้าหมูกวาด มันจะตกลงอย่างเจ็บปวดบนศีรษะของคนชั่ว

²⁴The fierce anger of Yahweh will not return, until he has executed, and until he has performed the intentions of his heart. In the latter days you will understand it.

²⁴ความกริ้วอันแรงกล้าของพระเยโฮวาห์จะไม่หยุดยั้ง จนกว่าพระองค์จะทรงกระทำ และให้สำเร็จตามพระทัยพระองค์ประสงค์ในวาระสุดท้าย เจ้าทั้งหลายจะพิจารณาถึงข้อความนี้
