¹At that time, says Yahweh, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ในวาระนั้น เราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของบรรดาครอบครัวแห่งอิสราเอล และเขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา"

²Thus says Yahweh, The people who were left of the sword found favor in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

²พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ชนชาติที่รอดตายจากดาบได้ประสบพระกรุณาคุณที่ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร คืออิสราเอล เมื่อเราให้เขาหยุดพัก

³Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.

³พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงปรากฏแก่ข้าพเจ้าแต่ก่อน ตรัสว่า `เราได้รักเจ้าด้วยความรักนิรันดร์ เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงชวนเจ้ามาด้วยความเมตตา

⁴Again will I build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel: again you shall be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.

⁴เราจะสร้างเจ้าอีก และเจ้าจะถูกสร้างใหม่นะ อิสราเอลพรหมจารีเอ๋ย เจ้าจะตกแต่งตัวเจ้าด้วยรำมะนาอีก และจะออกไปเต้นรำกับผู้ที่สนุกสนานกัน

⁵Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy its fruit.

⁵เจ้าจะปลูกสวนองุ่นที่บนภูเขาสะมาเรียอีก ผู้ปลูกก็จะปลูก และจะกินผลนั้น'

⁶For there shall be a day, that the watchmen on the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion to Yahweh our God.

⁶เพราะว่าจะมีวันเมื่อคนเฝ้ายามที่อยู่บนแดนเทือกเขาเอฟราอิมจะร้องเรียกว่า `จงลุกขึ้น ให้เราไปยังศิโยนเถิด ไปเฝ้าพระเยโฮวาห์ พระเจ้าของเรา'"

⁷For thus says Yahweh, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations: publish, praise, and say, Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel.

⁷เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "จงร้องเพลงด้วยความยิดนดีเพราะยาโคบ และเปล่งเสียงโห่ร้องเพราะประมุขของบรรดาประชาชาติ จงป่าวร้อง สรรเสริญ และกล่าวว่า `ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงช่วยประชาชนของพระองค์ให้รอด คือคนที่เหลืออยู่ของอิสราเอล'

⁸Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, along with the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her who travails with child together: a great company shall they return here.

⁸ดูเถิด เราจะนำเขามาจากแดนเหนือ และรวบรวมเขาจากส่วนที่ไกลที่สุดของพิภพ มีคนตาบอด คนง่อยอยู่ท่ามกลางเขา ผู้หญิงที่มีครรภ์และผู้หญิงที่คลอดบุตรจะมาด้วยกัน เขาจะกลับมาที่นี่เป็นหมู่ใหญ่

⁹They shall come with weeping; and with petitions will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

⁹เขาจะมาด้วยการร้องไห้ แต่ด้วยการทูลวิงวอนเราก็จะนำเขา เราจะให้เขาเดินตามแม่น้ำเป็นทางตรง ซึงเขาจะไม่สะดุด เพราะเราเป็นบิดาแก่อิสราเอล และเอฟราอิมเป็นบุตรหัวปีของเรา

¹⁰Hear the word of Yahweh, you nations, and declare it in the islands afar off; and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as shepherd does his flock.

¹⁰บรรดาประชาชาติเอ๋ย จงฟังพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ และจงประกาศพระวจนะนั้นในเกาะทั้งหลายที่ห่างออกไป จงกล่าวว่า `ท่านที่กระจายอิสราเอลนั้นจะรวบรวมเขา และจะดูแลเขาอย่างกับผู้เลี้ยงแกะดูแลฝูงแกะของเขา'

¹¹For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

¹¹เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงไถ่ยาโคบไว้แล้ว และได้ไถ่เขามาจากมือที่แข็งแรงเกินกว่าเขา

¹²They shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, and to the new wine, and to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

¹²เขาทั้งหลายจึงจะมาร้องเพลงอยู่บนที่สูงแห่งศิโยน และเขาจะไปอย่างราบรื่นเพราะความดีของพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะเมล็ดข้าว น้ำองุ่น และน้ำมัน และเพราะลูกของแกะและวัว ชีวิตของเขาทั้งหลายจะเหมือนกับสวนที่มีน้ำรด และเขาจะไม่โศกเศร้าอีกต่อไป

¹³Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

¹³แล้วพวกพรหมจารีจะเปรมปรีดิ์ในการเต้นรำ ทั้งคนหนุ่มกับคนแก่ด้วยกัน เราจะกลับความโศกเศร้าของเขาให้เป็นความชื่นบาน เราจะปลอบโยนเขา และให้ความยินดีแก่เขาแทนความเศร้าโศก

¹⁴I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says Yahweh.

¹⁴เราจะเลี้ยงจิตใจของปุโรหิตด้วยความอุดมสมบูรณ์ และประชาชนของเราจะพอใจด้วยความดีของเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹⁵Thus says Yahweh: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

¹⁵พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ได้ยินเสียงในรามา เป็นเสียงโอดครวญและร่ำไห้ ราเชลร้องไห้คร่ำครวญเพราะบุตรทั้งหลายของตน นางไม่รับคำเล้าโลมในเรื่องบุตรทั้งหลายของตน เพราะว่าบุตรทั้งหลายนั้นไม่มีแล้ว"

¹⁶Thus says Yahweh: Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says Yahweh; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

¹⁶พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ระงับเสียงร้องไห้คร่ำครวญไว้ และระงับน้ำตาจากตาของเจ้าเสีย เพราะว่าการงานของเจ้าจะได้รับรางวัล พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ และเขาทั้งหลายจะกลับมาจากแผ่นดินของศัตรู"

¹⁷There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and your children shall come again to their own border.

¹⁷พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "เรื่องอนาคตของเจ้ายังมีหวัง ว่าลูกหลานของเจ้าจะกลับมายังพรมแดนของเขาเอง

¹⁸I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf: turn me, and I shall be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.

¹⁸เราได้ยินเอฟราอิมคร่ำครวญว่า `พระองค์ทรงตีสอนข้าพระองค์ และข้าพระองค์ก็ถูกตีสอน อย่างลูกวัวที่ยังไม่เชื่อง ขอทรงนำข้าพระองค์กลับ เพื่อข้าพระองค์จะได้กลับสู่สภาพเดิม เพราะพระองค์ทรงเป็นพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์

¹⁹Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I struck on my thigh: I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.

¹⁹เพราะแน่นอนหลังจากที่ข้าพระองค์หันไปเสีย ข้าพระองค์ก็กลับใจ และหลังจากที่ข้าพระองค์รับคำสั่งสอนแล้ว ข้าพระองค์ก็ทุบตีต้นขาของข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์อับอาย และข้าพระองค์ก็ขายหน้า เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์ได้ทนความหยามน้ำหน้าซึ่งเกิดขึ้นเมื่อยังหนุ่มอยู่'"

²⁰Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a darling child? for as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Yahweh.

²⁰พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัว่า "เอฟราอิมเป็นบุตรชายที่รักของเราหรือ เขาเป็นลูกที่รักของเราหรือ เพราะตั้งแต่เราพูดกล่าวโทษเขาตราบใด เราก็ยังระลึกถึงเขาอยู่ตราบนั้น เพราะฉะนั้นจิตใจของเราจึงอาลัยเขา เราจะมีความกรุณาต่อเขาแน่

²¹Set up road signs, make guideposts; set your heart toward the highway, even the way by which you went: turn again, virgin of Israel, turn again to these your cities.

²¹จงปักเสากรุยทางไว้สำหรับตน จงทำป้ายบอกทางไว้สำหรับตัว จงปักใจให้ดีถึงทางหลวง คือทางซึ่งเจ้าได้ไปนั้น อิสราเอลพรหมจารีเอ๋ย จงกลับเถิด จงกลับมายังหัวเมืองเหล่านี้ของเจ้า

²²How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? for Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall encompass a man.

²²บุตรสาวผู้กลับสัตย์เอ๋ย เจ้าจะเถลไถลอยู่อีกนานสักเท่าใด เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ได้สร้างสิ่งใหม่บนพิภพแล้ว คือ ผู้หญิงจะล้อมผู้ชาย"

²³Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Yet again shall they use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring again their captivity: Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.

²³พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เมื่อเราจะให้การเป็นเชลยของเขากลับสู่สภาพเดิม เขาจะใช้ถ้อยคำต่อไปนี้ในแผ่นดินของยูดาห์ และในหัวเมืองทั้งหลายอีกครั้งหนึ่ง คือ โอ ที่อยู่แห่งความเที่ยงธรรมเอ๋ย ภูเขาบริสุทธิ์เอ๋ย ขอพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงอำนวยพระพรเจ้า

²⁴Judah and all its cities shall dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.

²⁴ยูดาห์และหัวเมืองทั้งสิ้นนั้น ทั้งบรรดาชาวนา บรรดาผู้ที่ท่องเที่ยวไปมาพร้อมกับฝูงแกะของเขา จะอาศัยอยู่ด้วยกันที่นั่น

²⁵For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.

²⁵เพราะเราจะให้จิตใจที่อ่อนระอานั้นอิ่ม และจิตใจที่โศกเศร้าทุกดวงเราจะให้บริบูรณ์"

²⁶On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

²⁶เมื่อนั้น ข้าพเจ้าตื่นขึ้นและมองดู และการหลับนอนของข้าพเจ้าก็เป็นที่ชื่นใจข้าพเจ้า

²⁷Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of animal.

²⁷พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด วันเวลาจะมาถึง เมื่อเราจะหว่านพืชคนและพืชสัตว์ในวงศ์วานอิสราเอลและวงศ์วานยูดาห์

²⁸It shall happen that, like as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says Yahweh.

²⁸และจะเป็นไปอย่างนี้ คือเมื่อเราเฝ้าดูเขา เพื่อจะถอนออกและพังลงคว่ำเสีย ทำลาย และนำเหตุร้ายมาฉันใด เราจะเฝ้าดูเหนือเขาเพื่อจะสร้างขึ้นและปลูกฝังฉันนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

²⁹In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

²⁹"ในสมัยนั้น เขาจะไม่กล่าวต่อไปอีกว่า `บิดารับประทานองุ่นเปรี้ยวและบุตรก็เข็ดฟัน'

³⁰But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

³⁰แต่ทุกคนจะต้องตายเพราะความชั่วช้าของตนเอง มนุษย์ทุกคนที่รับประทานองุ่นเปรี้ยว ก็จะเข็ดฟัน"

³¹Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

³¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด วันเวลาจะมาถึง ซึ่งเราจะทำพันธสัญญาใหม่กับวงศ์วานอิสราเอลและวงศ์วานยูดาห์

³²not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh.

³²ไม่เหมือนกับพันธสัญญาซึ่งเราได้กระทำกับบรรพบุรุษของเขาทั้งหลาย ในวันที่เราจูงมือเขาเพื่อนำเขาออกมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เป็นพันธสัญญาของเราซึ่งเขาผิด ถึงแม้ว่าเราได้เป็นสามีของเขา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

³³But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahweh: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

³³"แต่นี่จะเป็นพันธสัญญาซึ่งเราจะกระทำกับวงศ์วานอิสราเอล ภายหลังสมัยนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ "เราจะบรรจุราชบัญญัติของเราไว้ภายในเขาทั้งหลาย และเราจะจารึกมันไว้ที่ในดวงใจของเขาทั้งหลาย และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของเขา และเขาจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา

³⁴and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh; for they shall all know me, from their least to their greatest, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

³⁴และทุกคนจะไม่สอนเพื่อนบ้านของตนและพี่น้องของตนแต่ละคนอีกว่า `จงรู้จักพระเยโฮวาห์' เพราะเขาทั้งหลายจะรู้จักเราหมด ตั้งแต่คนเล็กนอ้ยที่สุดถึงคนใหญ่โตที่สุด" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ "เพราะเราจะให้อภัยความชั่วช้าของเขา และจะไม่จดจำบาปของเขาทั้งหลายอีกต่อไป"

³⁵Thus says Yahweh, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar; Yahweh of Armies is his name:

³⁵พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงให้ดวงอาทิตย์เป็นสว่างกลางวัน และทรงให้ระเบียบตายตัวของดวงจันทร์ และทรงให้บรรดาดวงดาวเป็นสว่างกลางคืน ผู้ทรงกวนทะเลให้คลื่นกำเริบ พระนามของพระองค์คือพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา ตรัสดังนี้ว่า

³⁶If these ordinances depart from before me, says Yahweh, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

³⁶"ถ้าระเบียบตายตัวนี้ต้องพรากไปจากต่อหน้าเรา แล้วเชื้อสายของอิสราเอลก็จะต้องหยุดยั้งจากการเป็นประชาชาติหนึ่งต่อหน้าเราเป็นนิตย์" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

³⁷Thus says Yahweh: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, then will I also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Yahweh.

³⁷พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ถ้าฟ้าสวรรค์เบื้องบนเป็นที่วัดได้ และรากฐานของพิภพเบื้องล่างเป็นที่ให้สำรวจได้ แล้วเราก็จะเหวี่ยงเชื้อสายอิสราเอลทิ้งไปเสียหมด ด้วยเหตุบรรดาการซึ่งเขาได้กระทำนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

³⁸Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the city shall be built to Yahweh from the tower of Hananel to the gate of the corner.

³⁸พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ดูเถิด วันเวลาจะมาถึง ที่เมืองนี้จะต้องสร้างขึ้นใหม่เพื่อพระเยโฮวาห์ตั้งแต่หอคอยฮานันเอลไปถึงประตูมุม

³⁹The measuring line shall go out further straight onward to the hill Gareb, and shall turn about to Goah.

³⁹และเชือกวัดจะไปไกลกว่านั้นตรงไปถึงเนินเขากาเรบ แล้วจะเลี้ยวไปถึงตำบลโกอาห์

⁴⁰The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to Yahweh; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever.

⁴⁰หุบเขาแห่งซากศพและขี้เถ้าทั้งสิ้นนั้น และทุ่งนาทั้งหมดไกลไปจนถึงลำธารขิดโรนจนถึงมุมประตูม้าไปทางตะวันออก จะเป็นที่บริสุทธิ์แด่พระเยโฮวาห์ จะไม่เป็นที่ถอนรากหรือคว่ำต่อไปอีกเป็นนิตย์"
