¹The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

¹พระวจนะซึ่งมาจากพระเยโฮวาห์ถึงเยเรมีย์ในปีที่สิบแห่งเศเดคียาห์กษัตริย์ของยูดาห์ ซึ่งเป็นปีที่สิบแปดของเนบูคัดเนสซาร์

²Now at that time the king of Babylon’s army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah’s house.

²ครั้งนั้น กองทัพของกษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนกำลังล้อมกรุงเยรูซาเล็มอยู่ และเยเรมีย์ผู้พยากรณ์ถูกขังอยู่ในบริเวณทหารรักษาพระองค์ ซึ่งอยู่ในพระราชวังของกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์

³For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why do you prophesy, and say, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

³เพราะเศเดคียาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ได้จำขังท่านไว้ ตรัสว่า "ทำไมท่านจึงพยากรณ์และกล่าวว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะให้เมืองนี้ไว้ในมือของกษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลน และเขาจะยึดเมืองนี้

⁴and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes;

⁴เศเดคียาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์จะหนีไปไม่พ้นจากมือของคนเคลเดีย แต่จะถูกมอบไว้ในมือของกษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนเป็นแน่ และจะได้พูดกันปากต่อปาก และจะแลเห็นตาต่อตา

⁵and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and he shall be there until I visit him, says Yahweh: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper?

⁵และเขาจะนำเศเดคียาห์ไปยังบาบิโลน และท่านจะอยู่ที่นั่นจนกว่าเราจะไปเยี่ยมท่าน พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ ถึงแม้เจ้าจะต่อสู้กับชาวเคลเดีย เจ้าก็จะไม่เจริญ'"

⁶Jeremiah said, The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

⁶เยเรมีย์ทูลว่า "พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพระองค์ว่า

⁷Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.

⁷ดูเถิด ฮานัมเอลบุตรชายชัลลูมอาของเจ้าจะมาหาเจ้าและกล่าวว่า `จงซื้อนาของข้าพเจ้าซึ่งอยู่ที่อานาโธท เพราะว่าสิทธิของการไถ่ด้วยการซื้อนั้นเป็นของท่าน'

⁸So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Yahweh, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of Yahweh.

⁸แล้วฮานัมเอลลูกของอาของข้าพเจ้ามาหาข้าพเจ้าที่บริเวณของทหารรักษาพระองค์ถูกต้องตามพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ และพูดกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `จงซื้อนาของข้าพเจ้าซึ่งอยู่ที่อานาโธทในแผ่นดินเบนยามิน เพราะสิทธิของการถือกรรมสิทธิ์และการไถ่เป็นของท่าน จงซื้อไว้เถิด' แล้วข้าพระองค์จึงทราบว่านี่เป็นพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์

⁹I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

⁹และข้าพระองค์ก็ซื้อนาที่อานาโธทจากฮานัมเอลลูกของอาของข้าพระองค์ และได้ชั่งเงินให้แก่เขา คือเงินสิบเจ็ดเชเขล

¹⁰I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

¹⁰ข้าพระองค์ก็ลงนามในโฉนดประทับตราไว้ ได้พยานและเอาตาชั่งชั่งเงิน

¹¹So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and that which was open;

¹¹แล้วข้าพระองค์ก็รับโฉนดของการซื้อทั้งฉบับที่ประทับตราแล้วตามกฎหมายและธรรมเนียมและฉบับที่เปิดอยู่

¹²and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

¹²และข้าพระองค์ก็มอบโฉนดของการซื้อให้แก่บารุคบุตรชายเนริยาห์ ผู้เป็นบุตรชายของมาอาเสอาห์ ต่อสายตาของฮานัมเอลลูกของอาของข้าพระองค์ ต่อหน้าพยานผู้ที่ลงนามในโฉนดการซื้อและต่อหน้าบรรดาพวกยิว ผู้ซึ่งนั่งอยู่ในบริเวณทหารรักษาพระองค์

¹³I commanded Baruch before them, saying,

¹³ข้าพระองค์ก็กำชับบารุคต่อหน้าเขาทั้งหลายว่า

¹⁴Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.

¹⁴`พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า จงเอาโฉนดเหล่านี้ไปเสีย ทั้งโฉนดของการซื้อที่ประทับตรากับฉบับที่เปิดนี้ และบรรจุไว้ในภาชนะดินเพื่อจะทนอยู่ได้หลายวัน

¹⁵For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.

¹⁵เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสดังนี้ว่า บ้านเรือนและไร่นาและสวนองุ่นจะมีการถือกรรมสิทธิ์กันอีกในแผ่นดินนี้'

¹⁶Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yahweh, saying,

¹⁶หลังจากที่ข้าพระองค์มอบโฉนดการซื้อให้แก่บารุคบุตรชายเนริยาห์แล้ว ข้าพระองค์ได้อธษฐานต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า

¹⁷Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for you,

¹⁷`ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า ดูเถิด คือพระองค์เอง ผู้ได้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก ด้วยฤทธานุภาพใหญ่ยิ่งของพระองค์และด้วยพระกรซึ่งเหยียดออกของพระองค์ สำหรับพระองค์ไม่มีสิ่งใดที่ยากเกิน

¹⁸who show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Yahweh of Armies is his name;

¹⁸ผู้ทรงสำแดงความเมตตาต่อคนเป็นพันๆ แต่ทรงตอบสนองความชั่วช้าของบิดาให้ตกถึงอกของลูกหลานสืบต่อมา ข้าแต่พระเจ้าผู้ใหญ่ยิ่งและทรงฤทธิ์ พระนามของพระองค์คือพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา

¹⁹great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

¹⁹พระองค์ทรงเป็นใหญ่ในการให้คำปรึกษา ทรงฤทธานุภาพในพระราชกิจ พระเนตรของพระองค์เห็นทุกวิถีทางบุตรทั้งหลายของมนุษย์ ประทานรางวัลแก่ทุกคนตามพฤติการณ์ของเขาและตามผลแห่งการกระทำของเขา

²⁰who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among other men; and made yourself a name, as in this day;

²⁰ทรงเป็นผู้สำแดงหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ และจนถึงสมัยนี้ก็ทรงสำแดงในอิสราเอลและท่ามกลางมนุษยชน และทรงทำให้พระนามเลื่องลือไปอย่างทุกวันนี้

²¹and brought forth your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

²¹พระองค์ได้ทรงนำอิสราเอลประชาชนของพระองค์ออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ด้วยหมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ และด้วยพระหัตถ์เข้มแข็ง และพระกรที่เหยียดออก และด้วยความสยดสยองยิ่งนัก

²²and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

²²และพระองค์ประทานแผ่นดินนี้แก่เขาทั้งหลาย ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงปฏิญาณแก่บรรพบุรุษของเขาทั้งหลายว่าจะประทานแก่เขา คือแผ่นดินซึ่งมีน้ำนมและน้ำผึ้งไหลบริบูรณ์

²³and they came in, and possessed it, but they didn’t obey your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them.

²³และเขาทั้งหลายก็ได้เข้าไปและถือกรรมสิทธิ์แผ่นดินนั้น แต่เขาทั้งหลายมิได้เชื่อฟังพระสุรเสียงของพระองค์ หรือดำเนินตามพระราชบัญญัติของพระองค์ สิ่งทั้งปวงซึ่งพระองค์ทรงบัญชาเขาให้กระทำนั้น เขาทั้งหลายมิได้กระทำเสียเลย เพราะฉะนั้นพระองค์ทรงกระทำให้เหตุร้ายทั้งสิ้นนี้มาถึงเขาทั้งหลาย

²⁴Behold, the mounds, they have come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what you have spoken has happened; and behold, you see it.

²⁴ดูเถิด เชิงเทินที่ล้อมอยู่ได้มาถึงกรุงเพื่อจะยึดเอาแล้ว และเพราะเหตุด้วยดาบ การกันดารอาหาร และโรคระบาด เมืองนี้ก็ได้ถูกมอบไว้ในมือของคนเคลเดียผู้กำลังต่อสู้อยู่นั้นแล้ว พระองค์ตรัสสิ่งใดก็เป็นไปอย่างนั้นแล้ว และดูเถิด พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็น

²⁵You have said to me, Lord Yahweh, Buy the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

²⁵ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า พระองค์ยังตรัสแก่ข้าพระองค์ว่า "จงเอาเงินซื้อนาและหาพยานเสีย" แม้ว่าเมืองนั้นจะถูกมอบไว้ในมือของคนเคลเดีย'"

²⁶Then came the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah, saying,

²⁶พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังเยเรมีย์ว่า

²⁷Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

²⁷"ดูเถิด เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของบรรดาเนื้อหนังทั้งสิ้น สำหรับเรามีสิ่งใดที่ยากเกินหรือ

²⁸Therefore thus says Yahweh: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:

²⁸เพราะฉะนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะมอบเมืองนี้ไว้ในมือของชาวเคลเดีย และในมือของเนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลน และเขาจะยึดเอาแน่

²⁹and the Chaldeans, who fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

²⁹ชาวเคลเดียผู้ต่อสู้กับเมืองนี้ จะมาเผาเมืองนี้เสียด้วยไฟให้ไหม้หมด ทั้งบรรดาบ้านที่เขาเผาเครื่องถวายพระบาอัลที่บนหลังคา และเทเครื่องดื่มบูชาถวายแก่พระอื่นเพื่อยั่วเย้าเราให้กริ้ว

³⁰For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says Yahweh.

³⁰เพราะประชาชนของอิสราเอลและประชาชนของยูดาห์ไม่ได้กระทำอะไรเลย นอกจากความชั่วต่อหน้าต่อตาของเราตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมา พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า ประชาชนอิสราเอลไม่ได้กระทำอะไรเลย นอกจากยั่วเย้าเราให้กริ้วด้วยผลงานแห่งมือของเขา

³¹For this city has been to me a provocation of my anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even to this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

³¹เมืองนี้ได้เร้าความกริ้วและความพิโรธของเรา ตั้งแต่วันที่ได้สร้างมันขึ้นจนถึงวันนี้ เพราะฉะนั้นเราจะถอนออกไปเสียจากหน้าของเรา

³²because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

³²เพราะว่าความชั่วทั้งสิ้นของประชาชนอิสราเอล และประชาชนยูดาห์ซึ่งเขาได้กระทำอันยั่วเย้าให้โกรธ คือทั้งตัวเขา บรรดากษัตริย์และเจ้านายของเขา บรรดาปุโรหิตและผู้พยากรณ์ของเขา คนยูดาห์และชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

³³They have turned to me the back, and not the face: and though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

³³เขาทั้งหลายได้หันหลังให้เรา มิใช่หันหน้า แม้ว่าเราได้สอนเขาอยู่อย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง เขาก็มิได้ฟังที่จะรับคำสั่งสอนของเรา

³⁴But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

³⁴แต่เขาทั้งหลายได้ตั้งสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนของเขาไว้ในนิเวศ ซึ่งเรียกตามนามของเรา กระทำให้มีมลทิน

³⁵They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through fire to Molech; which I didn’t command them, neither did it come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

³⁵เขาทั้งหลายได้สร้างปูชนียสถานสูงสำหรับพระบาอัลซึ่งอยู่ในหุบเขาแห่งบุตรชายของฮินโนม เพื่อให้บุตรชายและบุตรสาวของเขาลุยไฟถวายแก่พระโมเลค ซึ่งเรามิได้บัญชาเขาเลยและไม่ได้มีอยู่ในจิตใจของเราว่า เขาควรจะกระทำสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนนี้เพื่อเป็นเหตุให้ยูดาห์กระทำผิดบาปไป

³⁶Now therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning this city, about which you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:

³⁶เพราะฉะนั้น พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลตรัสเกี่ยวกับเมืองนี้แก่เจ้าทั้งหลายว่า `เมืองนี้จะถูกยกให้ไว้ในมือของกษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลน ด้วยดาบ ด้วยการกันดารอาหาร และด้วยโรคระบาด'

³⁷Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

³⁷ดูเถิด เราจะรวบรวมเขามาจากประเทศทั้งปวง ซึ่งเราได้ขับไล่เขาให้ไปอยู่ด้วยความกริ้ว ด้วยความพิโรธ และความขึ้งโกรธของเรานั้น เราจะนำเขาทั้งหลายกลับมายังที่นี้ และจะกระทำให้เขาอาศัยอยู่อย่างปลอดภัย

³⁸and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

³⁸เขาทั้งหลายจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของเขา

³⁹and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and of their children after them:

³⁹เราจะให้ใจเดียวและทางเดียวแก่เขา เพื่อเขาจะยำเกรงเราอยู่เป็นนิตย์ เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์แก่เขา และแก่ลูกหลานของเขาที่ตามเขามา

⁴⁰and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.

⁴⁰เราจะกระทำพันธสัญญานิรันดร์กับเขาทั้งหลาย อันว่าเราจะไม่หันจากการกระทำความดีแก่เขาทั้งหลาย และเราจะบรรจุความยำเกรงเราไว้ในใจของเขาทั้งหลาย เพื่อว่าเขาจะมิได้หันไปจากเรา

⁴¹Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

⁴¹เออ เราจะเปรมปรีดิ์ในการที่จะกระทำความดีแก่เขา และเราจะปลูกเขาไว้ในแผ่นดินนี้ด้วยความหมั่นมั่น ด้วยสุดใจของเราและสุดจิตของเรา

⁴²For thus says Yahweh: Like as I have brought all this great evil on this people, so will I bring on them all the good that I have promised them.

⁴²เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า เราได้นำเอาความร้ายยิ่งใหญ่ทั้งสิ้นมาเหนือชนชาตินี้ฉันใด เราก็จะนำความดีทั้งสิ้นซึ่งเราได้สัญญาไว้นั้นมาเหนือเขาฉันนั้น

⁴³Fields shall be bought in this land, about which you say, It is desolate, without man or animal; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

⁴³และจะมีการซื้อนากันในแผ่นดินนี้ซึ่งเจ้ากล่าวถึงว่า เป็นที่รกร้างปราศจากมนุษย์หรือสัตว์ ถูกมอบไว้ในมือของคนเคลเดีย

⁴⁴Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, says Yahweh.

⁴⁴ที่นานั้นจะซื้อกันด้วยเงิน ใบโฉนดก็จะต้องลงนามและประทับตรา และลงนามพยานที่ในแผ่นดินของเบนยามิน ในที่ต่างๆแถบกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และในหัวเมืองยูดาห์ ในหัวเมืองแถบแดนเมืองเทือกเขา ในหัวเมืองแถบหุบเขา และในหัวเมืองแถบภาคใต้ เพราะเราจะให้การเป็นเชลยของเขาทั้งหลายกลับสู่สภาพเดิม" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ
