¹Moreover the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

¹พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังเยเรมีย์ครั้งที่สอง เมื่อท่านยังถูกกักตัวอยู่ในบริเวณของทหารรักษาพระองค์นั้นว่า

²Thus says Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it; Yahweh is his name:

²"พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงสร้าง พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงปั้นเพื่อสถาปนาไว้ พระเยโฮวาห์คือพระนามของพระองค์ ตรัสดังนี้ว่า

³Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know.

³จงทูลเรา และเราจะตอบเจ้า และจะสำแดงสิ่งที่ใหญ่ยิ่งและที่มีอำนาจใหญ่โต ซึ่งเจ้าไม่รู้นั้นให้แก่เจ้า

⁴For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword;

⁴เพราะว่าพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลได้ตรัสดังนี้เกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องบ้านในกรุงนี้ และเกี่ยวด้วยเรื่องพระราชวังของบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ ซึ่งถูกรื้อลง เพื่อทำการต่อต้านเชิงเทินและดาบ

⁵while men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city:

⁵เขาทั้งหลายจะมารบกับชาวเคลเดียและทำให้คนเป็นศพไปเต็มบ้านเต็มเรือน เป็นคนที่เราสังหารด้วยความกริ้วและความพิโรธของเรา เพราะได้ซ่อนหน้าของเราจากกรุงนี้เนื่องด้วยความชั่วของเขาทั้งหลาย

⁶Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.

⁶ดูเถิด เราจะนำอนามัย และการรักษามาให้ และเราจะรักษาเขาทั้งหลายให้หาย และเผยสันติภาพและความจริงอย่างอุดม

⁷I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

⁷เราจะให้พวกเชลยแห่งยูดาห์และพวกเชลยแห่งอิสราเอลกลับสู่สภาพเดิม และจะสร้างเขาทั้งหลายเสียใหม่อย่างที่เขาเป็นมาแต่เดิมนั้น

⁸I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, by which they have sinned against me, and by which they have transgressed against me.

⁸เราจะชำระเขาจากบรรดาความชั่วช้าของเขาซึ่งเขาได้กระทำต่อเรา และจะให้อภัยบรรดาความชั่วช้าของเขาซึ่งเขาได้กระทำ และการละเมิดของเขาต่อเรา

⁹This city shall be to me for a name of joy, for a praise and for a glory, before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them, and shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I procure to it.

⁹และกรุงนี้จะให้เรามีชื่ออันให้ความชื่นบาน เป็นที่สรรเสริญและเป็นศักดิ์ศรีต่อหน้าบรรดาประชาชาติทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดินโลก ซึ่งจะได้ยินถึงความดีทั้งสิ้นซึ่งเราได้กระทำเพื่อเขาทั้งหลาย เขาจะกลัวและสะทกสะท้าน เพราะความดีและความเจริญทั้งสิ้นซึ่งเราได้จัดหาให้เมืองนั้น

¹⁰Thus says Yahweh: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,

¹⁰พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า และจะมีเสียงให้ได้ยินกันอีกครั้งในสถานที่นี้ซึ่งเจ้ากล่าวว่า จะเป็นที่รกร้างปราศจากมนุษย์และปราศจากสัตว์ ในหัวเมืองแห่งยูดาห์และตามถนนในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มซึ่งร้างเปล่า ปราศจากมนุษย์ ปราศจากคนอาศัย และปราศจากสัตว์ใดๆ

¹¹the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; who bring thanksgiving into the house of Yahweh. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says Yahweh.

¹¹ที่นั่นจะได้ยินเสียงบรรเทิงและเสียงรื่นเริง และเสียงเจ้าบ่าวและเสียงเจ้าสาว และเสียงบรรดาคนเหล่านั้นที่ร้องเพลงอีก ขณะที่เขานำเครื่องบูชาแห่งการสรรเสริญมายังพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ ว่า `จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ประเสริฐ เพราะความเมตตาของพระองค์ดำรงอยู่เป็นนิตย์' เพราะเราจะให้พวกเชลยแห่งแผ่นดินนั้นกลับสู่สภาพเดิม พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹²Thus says Yahweh of Armies: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

¹²พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้ว่า ในสถานที่นี้ซึ่งเป็นที่รกร้าง ปราศจากมนุษย์และปราศจากสัตว์ และในหัวเมืองทั้งสิ้นของที่นี้ จะเป็นที่อาศัยของผู้เลี้ยงแกะทั้งหลายให้แกะของเขาได้นอนลงอีก

¹³In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says Yahweh.

¹³พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า ในหัวเมืองแถบแดนเทือกเขา ในหัวเมืองแถบหุบเขา ในหัวเมืองแถบภาคใต้ ในแผ่นดินแห่งเบนยามิน ตามสถานที่รอบกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ในหัวเมืองยูดาห์ จะมีฝูงแกะผ่านใต้มือของผู้ที่นับอีก

¹⁴Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

¹⁴พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า ดูเถิด วันนั้นจะมาถึง คือเมื่อเราจะให้สิ่งดีที่เราสัญญาไว้ต่อวงศ์วานอิสราเอลและวงศ์วานยูดาห์สำเร็จ

¹⁵In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

¹⁵ในวันเหล่านั้นและในเวลานั้น เราจะให้อังกูรชอบธรรมเกิดมาเพื่อดาวิด และท่านจะให้ความยุติธรรมและความชอบธรรมในแผ่นดินนั้น

¹⁶In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name by which she shall be called: Yahweh our righteousness.

¹⁶ในกาลครั้งนั้น ยูดาห์จะได้รับการช่วยให้รอด และเยรูซาเล็มจะอาศัยอยู่อย่างปลอดภัย และนี่เป็นชื่อซึ่งเขาจะเรียกเมืองนั้นคือ `พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเป็นความชอบธรรมของเรา'

¹⁷For thus says Yahweh: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel;

¹⁷เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดาวิดจะไม่ขัดสนบุรุษที่จะประทับบนพระที่นั่งแห่งวงศ์วานอิสราเอล

¹⁸neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

¹⁸และปุโรหิตคนเลวีจะไม่ขัดสนบุรุษที่อยู่ต่อหน้าเรา เพื่อถวายเครื่องเผาบูชา และเผาเครื่องธัญญบูชา และกระทำการสักการบูชาเป็นนิตย์"

¹⁹The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

¹⁹พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังเยเรมีย์ว่า

²⁰Thus says Yahweh: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;

²⁰"พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ถ้าเจ้าหักพันธสัญญาของเราด้วยวัน และหักพันธสัญญาของเราด้วยคืนได้ จนวันและคืนมาถึงตามเวลากำหนดไม่ได้

²¹then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

²¹แล้วจึงจะหักพันธสัญญาของเราซึ่งมีต่อดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเราได้ จนท่านไม่มีโอรสที่จะเสวยราชย์บนพระที่นั่งของท่าน และหักพันธสัญญาของเรา ซึ่งมีต่อปุโรหิตคนเลวีผู้ปรนนิบัติของเราเสียได้

²²As the army of the sky can’t be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me.

²²บริวารของฟ้าสวรรค์จะนับไม่ได้ และเม็ดทรายที่ทะเลก็ตวงไม่ได้ฉันใด เราก็จะให้เชื้อสายของดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเราและคนเลวีผู้ปรนนิบัติของเราทวีมากขึ้นฉันนั้น"

²³The word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,

²³พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มาถึงเยเรมีย์ว่า

²⁴Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which Yahweh chose, he has cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

²⁴"เจ้าไม่ได้พิจารณาดอกหรือว่า ประชาชนเหล่านี้พูดกันอย่างไร คือพูดกันว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงทอดทิ้งสองครอบครัวที่พระองค์ทรงเลือกไว้เสียแล้ว' ดังนี้แหละ เขาทั้งหลายได้ดูหมิ่นประชาชนของเรา ฉะนี้เขาจึงไม่เป็นประชาชาติต่อหน้าเขาทั้งหลายอีกต่อไป

²⁵Thus says Yahweh: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

²⁵พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ถ้าเรามิได้สถาปนาพันธสัญญาของเรากับวันและคืน และสถาปนากฎต่างๆของฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลกแล้ว

²⁶then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.

²⁶เราจึงจะทอดทิ้งเชื้อสายของยาโคบและดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของเรา และจะไม่เลือกผู้หนึ่งจากเชื้อสายของเขาให้ครอบครองเหนือเชื้อสายของอับราฮัม อิสอัคและยาโคบ เพราะเราจะให้การเป็นเชลยของเขากลับสู่สภาพเดิม และจะมีความกรุณาเหนือเขา"
